Change your life kinda book
Revisado: 07-12-18
I can tell you enough, but this book! I was looking for some motivation. I am a mom of 3 and I find myself feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. This book woke me up, got me up, and for that I am forever grateful. I have sent this book to almost every women I know. So thankful for honesty and truth, it’s hard to come by these days and it’s something I pride myself in too, so listening to the actual author tell actual honest stories of things I too face and deal with was amazing! I could go on and on about this, but what it all comes down to is just do yourself a favor and get this book...

Ok
Revisado: 07-11-18
Ok so this book started off good. I was thinking to myself at first, ok I can totally relate but I was looking more for a book that also made me feel good. As a mom of 3 that stays home with her kids, this book gave me more anxiety bc it pointed out things that I may do from time to time that are in no way a problem for my life but it can make u feel like they are, if that makes sense. It had some good info and it was nice to hear stories of other moms but it’s not a feel good book. At least it wasn’t for me. I felt more anxious and found it hard to finish the last few chapters. It almost felt like a parent telling me “you shouldn’t have a glass of wine to relax at the end of the day”. Ummm with 3 kids a glass of wine once in a while is what every mama needs, sorry just being honest lol. Maybe some people take it too far but this moms got her shot straight and sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do to keep on going. Worth a read but I like the book “girl go wash your face” a million times better bc it made me feel human, good and like it’s ok to have bad days. This book not so much.

They number in the millions and they are incredibly important to families and to our society, yet they are underappreciated, little respected, and even controversial. Who are they? They are the stay-at-home moms. In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms is a special book, a profound and unique understanding of how important it is for mothers to raise their own children.

Awesome!

I love Dr Laura and all that she stands for. I am a SAHM to 3 beautiful children for almost 8 years now, everything she says is on point. I know a few moms who would really benefit from this book. As for the one bad review I read, they stated the book has no "statistics". What kind of statistics are you looking for? Everything Dr Laura speaks about is common sense and truth. For anyone to not like this book is strange to me. But either way 5 stars all the way! I chose to listen to the audio version bc I don't really have time to sit n read so after putting the kids to bed I put head phones on and listened and loved every second. The day b4 I was losing my patience and this really helped make me see things in a new fresh light. Thank you Dr Laura, if only there was more people like you to encourage moms, the world today would be a better, safer place.
