I love how the author told so many stories about famous saints like Joan of Arc and Mother Theresa as well as other lesser-known modern day saints and how some of the great saints of the Church inspired these more newly minted saints. Clearly Mrs. Begg did her research!

Brought me to tears so many times

Make time in your life for this book. As a busy mom I started listening to it because my son was assigned to read it over his eighth grade summer. But after listening to the first eight hours with him I listen to the rest of it on my own. The story has so many twists and turns but it is a wonderful story of faith and courage, friendship and conviction. Really made you feel like you were in that time period with the main characters. I highly recommend it!
