True love endures
Revisado: 01-01-25
Once again Stacey Reynolds takes us on a beautiful, loving journey filled with wit, passion and history. I cried so much during this book. Heart wrenching and heart warming. Love the O’Brien’s and how Justine Eyre brings them to life. 5 stars were not enough!!!

Historia
Reverend Augustus Shackleford's mission in life (aside from ensuring the collection box was suitably full every Sunday) was to secure advantageous marriages for each of his eight daughters. A tall order, given the fact that in the Reverend's opinion they didn't possess a single ladylike bone in the eight bodies they had between them. Quite where he would find a wealthy titled gentleman bottle headed enough to take any of them on remained a mystery and indeed was likely to test even his legendary resourcefulness.

Awful
Revisado: 05-21-24
The narration was awful - screeching and nasally. My ears were bleeding. Fire the narrator. I couldn’t get past the first chapter.

Even better than the first one!
Revisado: 07-25-23
I really liked the first book in the series but this one really stepped it because the story was faster passed and even more humor sprinkled appropriately in story line. I really hope the author will continue with a third installment even though it’s been 4 years.

Historia
Raina Bretton is a rag woman in London's East End when a handsome stranger appears in a dank alley and offers her a glittering smile and a chance for adventure. Rothburne Abbey has a unique position for her, one that will take her away from her hardscrabble life and give her a chance to be a lady. Things she could only dream of might be coming true. But some dreams turn out to be nightmares. Though Raina has traded squalor for silk and satin, something about the abbey is deeply unsettling.
