Historia
Until he disappeared, Peter Black was Azrael. Master assassin. Now he spends his days hiding on a remote farm in northern Alaska. The same farm he was sent to at age 11 to be trained by the CIA. Peter only ever wanted a normal life and to be left alone. But the world refuses to leave men like Peter Black alone. An enemy like no other is coming. An enemy that has no mercy. No compassion. Only sheer ruthlessness of will.

Had great potential in theory
Revisado: 02-13-25
Unfortunately, this book is pulp fiction. Way over the top with most of the action scenes. Had interesting potential. Would not read anything by either of them again, though. On a positive note, the narrator was great.

They pose as a couple to target Vadim, Putin's private banker, and his wife, Anna, who—unbeknownst to CIA—is a Russian intelligence officer under deep cover at the bank.

Enjoyable storyline.
Revisado: 01-25-25
Unfortunately, the narrator made everybody sound snarky. A more serious sounding narrator would’ve made the book seem more real. As it was, it seemed tongue and cheek. Still enjoyed it, but would not use this narrator again.

Story far fetch. Too much sci-fi evil villain. Not believable. Unfortunately do not like the trajectory. The author is taking. Seems to be running out of interesting material.

Historia
If, like Kane, you’re a Denied Access Area spy for the CIA, then boundaries have no meaning. Your function is to go in, do whatever is required, and get out again—by whatever means necessary. You know when to run, when to hide—and when to shoot. But some places don’t play by the rules. Some places are too dangerous, even for a man of Kane’s experience. The badlands where the borders of Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan meet are such a place—a place where violence is the only way to survive.

NOT another I am Pilgrim
Revisado: 04-23-24
This book was not at all similar to his prior book. I specifically bought this book because I think “I am Pilgrim” is one of the best spy books ever written. This is more of a Robert Ludlum mixed with Andy Weir. It’s well written and enjoyable. A little over the top and definitely sci-fi. Had this been his first book, I would not have bought a second though.

I will admit this was entertaining. Average writing. Too much over the top. Unbelievable actions to make it a very good story or worthwhile reading anything further in the series. The narrator does an excellent job though.

The Avengers in spy form
Revisado: 08-22-23
Overall, I enjoyed this book. Well written, Narrator did great job. Unfortunately it is a little far-fetched and has a little bit of a cartoonish “Avengers” spin that makes it hard to believe.
