Historia
Anarchism has been both a vision of a peaceful, cooperative society — and an ideology of revolutionary terror. Since the term itself — anarchism — is a negation, there is a great deal of disagreement on what the positive alternative would look like. The black flag comes in many colors.

Surprisingly beautiful
Revisado: 05-15-22
Some of these writings are actually beautiful and I listened to several of them multiple times, mostly the ones I was not familiar with.
For the authors and essays I was already very familiar with, it was very satisfying to hear them in the modern voices of anarchist, liberal thought.

Historia
Originally published in 1944, The Road to Serfdom has profoundly influenced many of the world's great leaders, from Orwell and Churchill in the mid-'40s, to Reagan and Thatcher in the '80s. The book offers persuasive warnings against the dangers of central planning, along with what Orwell described as "an eloquent defense of laissez-faire capitalism".

Historia
Professor Block's book is among the most famous of the great defenses of victimless crimes and controversial economic practices, from profiteering and gouging to bribery and blackmail. However, beneath the surface, this book is also an outstanding work of microeconomic theory that explains the workings of economic forces in everyday events and affairs.

Good for the new libertarian
Revisado: 08-12-13
What made the experience of listening to Defending the Undefendable the most enjoyable?
The arguments and sides of the debate the author takes are sometimes humorous but legitimate at the same time.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
it's about logic and why some of our current outlooks on what is morally and legally wrong is laughable when you really break it down, look at it from the law breaker's point of view.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
it is old.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
the author's argument for why the slumlord is a positive part of the community and economy.

Great book, but don't dig too deep.
Revisado: 08-12-13
Would you consider the audio edition of The Secret to be better than the print version?
wouldn't know
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Secret?
not one part really stands out, it's about the overall general message.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
you are in control of your success and hapiness.
Any additional comments?
this book tells us what most of us already know but with tons of anticdotes and stories. The message is clear, if you can see yourself doing it, you can do it. But some of it is clearly far fetched and a little much. That being said, i totally recommend this book for reminding you that YOU can be happy whenever you want, it is up to you. Visualization is the theme here.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I think this is a great place to start getting to know why Ron Paul believes what he believes. He explains the logic behind the libertarian's mindset on society and free market. Highly recommended read.
