Great actors, sound effects, and storyline. I personally enjoyed the previous books so this did not disappoint me. It’s a story.

A man who has had to endure the unimaginable gives others the hope that all things are possible. His spirit and the love of his family and friends has enabled Steve to achieve so much even through all the adversity in his life. Thank you for sharing your most intimate life and thoughts with the world. It has given me pause to be more grateful for every breath of air I inhale, every step I take, every word I speak, every blink of my eyelids I take and to really be thankful for the blessings we are given from every day life. Thank you Steve and God bless.

Great escape

Wow, I guess I wasn’t expecting such a mind blowing read, or maybe I don’t read enough futuristic books. This was so far out of the realm of reality. So enjoyed the characters and how they were developed. The narrator was phenomenal! Story was fantastic. Thank you for a great read!

Life was tough back then. Unforgiving land and some people too. The captain’s character was developed well and the narrator did an excellent job with a Texas accent. The girls character was done well too. Great job!

A heartwarming read

I’m grateful to the author for another good book about survivors of the holocaust, and to the sisters whose lives it was based on. Wished the narrator had a more Eastern European accent or anything but British. Didn’t seem to fit. There were so many horrors in this war- too many to tell and probably not for the faint of heart. The book probably touches on just a small portion of what happened inside those walls, but you get a real sense of what they endured. Bless them and their families.

Lots of little known facts

Enjoyed Bill’s humor and his narration of his book. I always like it when the author reads his book, but Bill has a really soothing voice so enjoyed it even more. Lots of facts on the history of Christmas and its traditions. Nicely done!

A great listen

It started slow for me. Then, it was hard to stop listening. A wonderful reminder of what principles our country was founded on and the huge sacrifices made by soldiers to be free. George Washington is a man of greatness and humility. I am thankful to Glenn and his co-author for their contributions of story and facts. Wish our politicians would act in a manner of good conduct to the office they were bestowed. The country is on a slippery slope.

Beyond my expectations

You must listen to this! Such a roller coaster of emotions. Things I had never known about WWII. I will confess that I was very disgusted and disappointed in our government letting the Japanese torturers off the hook after only limited time served. What our men endured is simply nothing short of a miracle. Justice had not been served to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. This book is so well told and written. Excellently narrated by Edward Herrmann. Thank you Laura H!

Thanks, but……

Nothing this old gal didn’t already hear before. Been there, done that. Heard it all. I’m sure the Dr knows the caloric intake of fruits. As for me, on about a 1200-1300 calorie per day diet, I could not justify even a piece of fruit, let alone any kind of fruit juice, (even though there might be some health benefits). I do appreciate his knowledge and all the research put into his book, but honestly, it’s nothing I haven’t heard of already. Even recommending food journaling-think Weight Watchers?? As for me, strict caloric intake and 4 x week on an elliptical is the only thing giving me concrete results. Did not like the narrator’s voice. Just put me to sleep.
