What the hell…
Revisado: 08-03-24
Ok…who did the editing. It repeats sentences or just cuts dialogue mid sentence and head to the next chapter. This is unacceptable. I didn’t even finish. I have to go get the book. But with me not even finishing the audio the main characters started kind stupid. Knowing everything they know and all the enemies they have they just never seem to grasp the scope of the situation until it’s too late. And the male narrator needs to relax. Like he is too intense. The vibes between when the female reads his voice and him reading are two different people. He seems to be yelling all the time. I’m not saying he is not a good narrator but he should have listened the energy the prior narrator was giving and followed suit. He just came in like a bull in a china shop and killed the entire vibe. He needs to have a glass of wine, relax and then read. Every word should not feel like the sky is falling. Even him reading the closing credits was much too much….😂

Beautiful Book and Narration
Revisado: 03-17-24
I love poems, especially ones that rhyme and I loved this book. It’s been a while since I have had this type of excitement from a book. All the books lately have been a court of this and a court of that…not that they are good but I kinda know what’s about to happen. But this was a different and new take on fantasy that left me surprised and wanting more. Great job!

Once upon a time, in a parallel universe, there existed the continent of Triton.... The land was filled with beauty, but it was also splintered by war. Out of the chaos grew a conspiracy to reawaken the Beast, a fearsome creature who wrought only tragedy and devastation. The only way to stop him was to fulfill an ancient prophecy: Triton’s four strongest warriors must wed its four most powerful witches, binding all nations together and finally bringing peace to the land.

Ok so I had to listen to the first 3 chapters twice before I was able to move on. The 1st time I was like huh? I forgot who was who and the throwing of the dice scene had me wanting to throw in the towel. But on the 2nd start I knew who everyone was and there purpose. I think if I had the physical book it would not have confused me from the start. Now, with that being said. The book is written very and the way KA describes every scene you feel like you standing right in the room with the characters, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your personal taste. Now on some of the sex scene I had to turn it off and look around to see if I was alone. I dont know why because it's an audiobook and I had on my headphones but I know for sure I was beet red...lol. But the book is for ADULTS ONLY. I'm not lettting anyone under the age of 30 listen to my copy...

OK....so it wasn't just me!
Revisado: 09-22-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would because its a good book and its well written but I would warn people the male narrator sounds so ridiculous.... I mean I thought it was a joke at first but the joke was on me cause I had to listen to him for 9 hours. Hence my 2 star rating on performance.
Have you listened to any of Eva Kaminsky and Chris Kipiniak ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't and I would wouldn't want to listen to Chris ever again....I mean serious he barely has an pulse. I thought a zombie just picked up the book and started reading....needs work my friend. Eva was good but her voice wasn't what I would have picked for Mesha...she sounds like she's older
Do you think Broken Compass needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yeah, at least 2 or 3. 2 more to mate off the rest of the Compasses and maybe 1 more to see how mate life and the kids are doing... but not necessary.
Any additional comments?
Do not rehire Chris.

Hate it's over! And give the narrator a chance.
Revisado: 05-20-17
Ok so when I first started listening to the book and didn't recognize the narrator I was livid and immediately stopped the book and refused to listen....dramatic I know. But after a week I finally decided to give her a chance. By chapter 7 I couldn't tell that much of a difference between her and Jen. She did a good job. I gave her 4 stars because of the way she said some of Reese responses. It came out kinda corny. But all in all a beautiful series and can not wait until the next book. Sarah is one of my favorite authors. This series is a must read/listen.

Loved the Books!.LOVED!, but this narrator. No DICE
Revisado: 05-24-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I will if I can get past this narrators voice. I don't know she just doesn't quite catch the tone of the book for me. I would also like to point out that I never write reviews..good or bad...but I have been waiting all month for my credits to get here so I can get these books but I have only have been listening for 10 mins and I still cant get past this girls voice. I am not happy. I hope that they will do a recast. That's all for now.
What did you like best about this story?
I love a challenge...and to get a man to change his world upside down is the ultimate challenge...Christian has so many sides to him that you could never get uninterested.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?
I don't know but definitely not this young lady...I am open for suggestions...
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Yes
