Historia
Digital technology has profoundly altered the competitive landscape for retailers. Although the shutdown of 2020 didn’t cause this trend, it has dramatically accelerated it, collapsing retailers’ transformation timeline into a matter of months, not years. In Remarkable Retail, industry thought leader Steve Dennis argues that it’s no longer enough merely to offer convenience, decent prices, or an okay shopping experience. Even very good is no longer good enough. To win and keep customers today, retailers must be nothing short of remarkable.

I appreciated the candid and thoughtful insights with tangible examples. After starting with the audio version, I ordered a hard copy to review the visual frameworks. Great content!

Historia
This is the official authorized biography of musician and vintner Maynard James Keenan, the enigmatic vocalist for Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. Co-author Sarah Jensen's 30-year friendship with Keenan gives her unique insight into his history and career trajectory. The book traces Keenan's journey from his Midwest childhood to his years in the army to his time in art school, from his stint at a Boston pet shop to his place in the international spotlight and his influence on contemporary music and regional winemaking.

A memoir told in 3rd person, not a biography
Revisado: 06-14-19
I expected a typical biography that would attempt to tell a balanced story of the man behind a lot of music I’ve enjoyed since I was a teenager.
Instead, I listened to a whitewash story backed by only positive comments people have made about Maynard and his accomplishments. Occasionally Maynard jumps in with one sentence of commentary. There are a lot of comments that talk about how fans react to X or Y, which felt patronizing.
I learned more about Maynard by what the book didn’t say. Still love the music though!
