Historia
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

Not Walter Isaacson’s finest work
Revisado: 09-22-23
This book proved to be both engaging and insightful, although it didn't quite hit the mark of excellence. Isaacson seems to have prioritized breadth over depth in several instances. The exploration of Elon’s personal relationships often felt repetitive in its insights, and I found myself wishing for a deeper dive into the innovative processes behind his unique companies and products. The portrayal presented risks reinforcing the misconception that success necessitates being disagreeable. The central takeaway from this autobiography should be that despite his billions, Elon appears to be neither happy nor fulfilled. Instead of emulating Musk, one should strive to be the best version of oneself.

Historia
Our noisy world has trained us to think that those who get in the last word win, when in fact it’s those who know how to stay silent who really hold the power. STFU is a book that unlocks this power and will change your life, freeing you to focus on what matters. Lyons combines leading behavioral science with actionable advice on how to communicate with intent, think critically, and open your mind and ears to the world around you. Talk less, get more. That’s what STFU is all about.

Lots of opinions that are not data backed.
Revisado: 08-21-23
I really wanted to like this book despite the clickbait title. Couldn't make it past 2 hours. So many opinions, and so little new and interesting data. Maybe it gets better but I couldn't take it anymore. YMMV

Terrible, terrible narration
Revisado: 09-30-09
This is by far the worst narration of an audiobook that I have heard. I really couldn't listen for more than 5 minutes. The narrator has absolutely no distinction in her voice between characters and is very difficult to follow. What a waste of time and money :(
