Unexpected Twists and Turns

A few things took me by surprise and the overall story kept me wanting to know where things were going. At times, I liked and disliked the main character throughout the book. I found myself blurting things out to encourage the Vicky to do what I thought she should do. Which meant I was getting very involved with the story. I couldn’t listen to this one slowly over the course of a couple weeks. I enjoyed it so much I had to finish it quickly to see what would happen next. I’m going to check out this author’s other books now.

Love the narrator. It was interesting hearing things from a therapist’s point of view, and a relief knowing that a therapist can have the same irrational thoughts as their patients.

Loved the narration, almost more than I loved the story.

Fun! Emotional! Interesting!

I loved the narrator. Saw another review bashing her but for the majority of us who aren’t experts on how people from that area should sound, the voices were fun and fitting and brought the book to life. Many unexpected twists and turns. I may listen again soon.

Hard to believe this wasn’t written by L.M. Montgomery. I’m so glad I discovered this story! I’ve read the first five Anne of Green Gables novels and was worried the next wasn’t going to be so much about Anne but her children instead. This kept her story going for me!

Great Narrator

I loved this novel and especially the narrator’s ability to have a unique voice (and language!) for each character. When I finished this book, I felt like I was going to miss Jane and her voice.
