The storyline seemed to be meant for high scoolers, not adults. Not even the narration could save it, since the narration was the WORST of the 200+ books I've listened to on Audible. The narrator was dull & very poor with female vocalizations. I would never recommend this book & will delete it from my library, as soon as possible.

What can I say...I was stunned at the brilliance of this writer. Spectacular characters, great world building, and a gripping story. I could not get any work done because all I wanted to do was listen to this audiobook, and I finished it in one day. And indeed, what a day of adventure it truly was. I immediately bought the next two books & now I've finished three. I definitely recommend this book and the narrator. Shane East is a favorite of mine because he can effectively do multiple dialects along with notable male & female voices. His treatment of the story makes this audiobook OUTSTANDING! Thank you, Ms. Day for providing one of the best audiobook series I've listened to in the past year.

I've listened to both "Sensing Danger & Seeing Danger." I truly liked the dynamic of the Sinclair family & their superior innate abilities. Both stories were interesting & gripping at moments. I especially enjoyed the narration of Alex Wyndham, who always provides a superior vocal performance. He's simply "Magnifique." Mr. Wyndham is the main reason that I decided to purchase the books, along with desiring something new for my listening pleasure. What really knocked me for a loop was two things. First, the hero was a predator, IMO (He constantly spoke of "ravishment." Ravish means to force a person to have sex using violence). The hero was in an authority position & consistently bullied the heroine into all forms of intimacy. There was no real relationship other than sexual. Where was the romance & courtship? Second, the author constantly repeated words/phrases throughout the story as if the audience were dullards. Conversations were also repeated in the other book, as well as the layout of the story. Why read the same progression of a story in three books? My suggestion is to pick one book from the series, but don't waste credits or money on the entire series.

What a sensational Christmas gift to have this audiobook come out during the holiday season. I have become very attached to this fictional royal couple. So much so, that when I read Book Three, I could hear the voices of the narrators in my head. How do I describe what is probably the last book in this trilogy? First of all, it continues where we left off in Book Two, it brings resolution to past issues, it tracks the first year of their Ersovian marriage, throws in twists & turns, & ending on an awesome high. I will sincerely miss Wolfgang, Iskandar & Balduin as supporting characters. They provided many smiles, laughs & cheers. I hate that this is the final chapter of the Montereys, because it is tough finding such an incredible storyteller, like J.J. McAvoy. My only complaint was with the coarse language. Last but not least, Shane East & Wesleigh Siobhan were superb, putting such heartfelt emotion into every scene. I hope one day soon, they work together again. Thanks Audible for making this audiobook available.

What's not to like...this podcast had everything from brilliant actors, to suspense, drama, & action. I didn't know if I would like it, but I've never seen Andrew Scott portray a role, that I didn't like, so I took a chance. Beyond worth it. I'm definitely at a loss to say what a phenomenal production this actually was. I look forward to many more classy audible books such as this one. Top drawer. Well worth a credit or a listen, if you have an Audible membership.

This was not my cup of tea due to the dark subject matter, yet the intensity of the story drew me in. After pressing through until chapter 71, I skipped to Chapter 91. Many of the dramatic threads were repeated, and it just felt like the author was beating a dead horse. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to have closure. I salute the author, because she knows how to drive a narrative, but the crass language was less than palatable and really unnecessary. Both of the narrators made this a more digestible piece of fiction.

I got to Chapter 3 & realized I was torturing myself for nothing. The story was not going to any get better. I was stunned, that any author would portray the most "base" side of a character's nature & try to pass it off as romantic. This audio presentation is not worth reading...it is not worth a credit...it is simply unadulterated trash, masquerading as literature. Yes, that's only my opinion, yet I spent the cash, which affords me the opportunity to write this review. My next step is to cheerfully delete this book out of my library. Good riddance. The only bright spot was the two narrators.

It is hard to believe that I could be so immersed in a fantasy land (Ersovia) & all it's characters, but I am. Most definitely. This book was utterly fantastic, better than the first book, if that is even possible. My only pet peeve was the coarse language, which wasn't even necessary b/c the plot was so gripping & the discourse superb. The narrators exquisitely play their parts to the hilt, no one could've done better. The believability is off the chain, so much so, that I expect to pick up a newspaper & read about Gale & Odette. I am reading book three, but am excited for the companion audiobook to be available soon. Kudos to the author especially & the narrators. You guys truly raised the bar & hopefully others will follow.

Can I just say up front, that this book knocked it "out of the park" for me. It had everything you want in a romance novel. It was pointedly sophisticated, & sensual without explicit sex. FINALLY, a book that can be subtle, about the romance between a man & woman & still make it "sizzle." Three cheers for the author who presented this fine bit of storytelling. I was simply BLOWN AWAY! Book Two is being downloaded as I write this. Thanks Ms. McAvoy, no one could've written it better!
