Historia
Clyde Hatchett, Glaton's prodigal son, is finally home. Sure, he's got a whole new body and face, so nobody recognizes him. And technically he's not from Glaton—he's really only spent a few months there. But they say home is wherever your love resides, and since Nadya lives in Glaton . . . wait, does Clyde actually love Nadya? This is getting complicated. That, on top of all the problems Clyde left behind, which haven't gotten any less knotty while he was gone. The Senate is heating up, with numerous noble idiots vying for the throne.

Truly fun series
Revisado: 11-22-24
I truly have enjoyed listening to Clyde fumble his way through this series. I was expecting another run of the mill LITRPG. They are a fun way to pass the time but you don't truly remember them. This one however, stands out to me. From the fun creatures we usually see as "mobs" have been turned into fun loving and loyal, if not unusual friendships. It is truly refreshing to an old timer rpg reader/listener.

The pace of the story is a bit slow but they are building a hero properly. I was not bored once because of the witty dialogue and excellent reader. Please enjoy the story.

Avery Special is the world's only living necromancer, and she's pretty bad at it. She also just moved to LA, where trouble has been waiting for a necromancer. Trouble that doesn't care how strong she is or that she's only 15. Monsters, magical artifacts, occultists, and television producers only care that a real necromancer is back.

Joe and humanity as a whole messed up pretty badly, managing to get some of the most important people from both the Elven and Dwarven races killed. Now the war is escalating to unprecedented levels, and only one side needs to worry about being slain. With the attackers knowing they can get right back up after dying, they are throwing themselves against their centuries-long foe without caring for the consequences. As the death toll rises, there’s still hope for Joe and the people that he chose to align himself with.

Better than the last.
Revisado: 04-21-23
I felt the last book to be disappointing. So, I wasn't expecting much when I loaded this one. I was pleasantly surprised that within the first 30 minutes, I was laughing loudly at work. The characters seemed more involved this time. The battles were fun. The story overall was just more fun this time. Be careful listening at work. It's so much fun your laughing will get you in trouble.

8 out of 10
Revisado: 12-18-22
The story is good, I love the characters and it has both post apocalyptic and Lit RPG elements, that make it ideal for me.
I have 2 complaints.
1. They repeatedly say that 90% of people will be killed off but in reality less than 1 in a thousand people survive. That’s not 90%
2. They keep playing really bad music during the fight scenes. It’s horrible and loud I can barely hear the reader over the stupid music. And it’s so distracting I can’t get past it to actually follow what’s happening. Who ever decided to add the music should be fired!

Almost too much romance.
Revisado: 07-14-22
I enjoyed the story overall. It was almost too much romantic interplay towards the end. I felt the that important stuff relevant to Doc got rushed after the big reveal. (trying not to give away spoilers.)

It’s good not great
Revisado: 11-06-20
The story just didn’t draw me in. I listened to it just to find I didn’t remember a bit of what happened over the last hour. Ran it back and listened to it again just to realize that hour could have been 10 minutes. The characters personal struggles would have been better expressed with back stories, rather then having to hear every thought.
Listening to everyone’s thoughts takes all the action out of the action scenes.

Too over powered
Revisado: 06-21-20
Normally I like a kickass hero but this is ridiculous. The main character goes from average guy to the best at everything always, Oh and both he and all his companions all get stronger every time they add one to their number... And of course the bond makes them want to have sex. Its lazy writing to fill a teen age fantasy with just enough mythology thrown in to offend anyone that cares even a little.
