Historia
Harald Darrowdelve has squandered every gift life gave him—until he entered the dungeon beneath Flutic and received a demon's dark blessing. Weak, privileged, and directionless no more, Harald now commands powers forged in darkness. But each new ability and hard-won level drags him deeper into the ruthless politics of noble houses, shadowy rivals, and the celestial war burning beneath the city's streets.

Incredible
Revisado: 04-23-25
A dungeon delver that has what all the other are missing. High stakes, well thought out characters that feel like real people with their own motives, and gut wrenching emotion with a promise to the reader that this series will not slowly devolve into a "slice of life" litrpg like so many others do. Phil has absolutely knocked this new series out of the park.

Historia
Freddy Stern, a twenty-one-year-old cashier, has lived a plain, albeit harsh life. Having been orphaned—twice—he's spent the last ten years working and staying out of trouble. His only aspiration is to save enough money to become an archhuman. His dream gets the jump on him when he barely survives a near-death encounter and finds himself in possession of 1% Lifesteal, a bizarre talent with numerous contradictions and just as many uses.

Fever dreamy, MC extremely hard to like
Revisado: 03-19-25
As a fan of the author's other series I really wanted to like this one, but I just couldn't. The main character is pathetic, whiny, and solely motivated by greed and self preservation. He is eye rollingly socially incompetent to the point where it almost breaks immersion. (the phrase "is this what touching grass feels like?" is used in a joke that falls flatter than my pulse after listening that long)

Historia
Possibly it's not to save a pair of drowning girls, not go 'viral' on social media and certainly not to let the local police take your passport, trapping you on a small 'party' island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. But Steve isn't the average guy, he's ex-military, ex-enforcer and ex-human. He's a one man nanite fuelled nightmare for those that cross the line, and he's decided that its time to clean up his act. He's going to make up for the things he's done, and save 'the little guys'.

Story took a serious nosedive. Everything there was to draw people in from the first two books peters out, and the story meanders from there.

Historia
A thousand years ago the Heart of the World was shattered, its fragments scattered across the lands. In the chaos that followed, martial orders arose to gather these shards, for it was found that great powers were granted when these pieces were bonded to the flesh of the chosen. These are the Sharded Few, warriors imbued with the divine energies that once coursed through the Heart, and driven to absorb enough fragments to claim godhood.

So good I almost Sharded
Revisado: 02-05-24
Good story, cool magic system, deep lore and interesting world.. but the MC is kind of a doofus, and while its very common for reviews to say that about every main character who makes a decision the reader doesn't agree with, THIS time we're talking straight up intelligence. Our boy clearly is not the sharpest tool, or playing with a full deck. Gives off occasional jar jar binks vibes, dumb luck is responsible for the majority of good outcomes he has, along with every character next to him telling him to do things like pick up a sword, try using your power, maybe close your mouth and breath through your nose. Another review described him as an idiot savant, and its comically accurate.

Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

Lost serious momentum
Revisado: 01-15-24
The first book started off strong, then slowly went downhill. Thought the second book would pick it back up but here we are and the fights aren't fulfilling, the teen drama feels incredibly artificial, and the funny moments aren't at all funny. Not a bad way to fall asleep though. Narrator was as good as the first book.
