Historia
25,000 feet above Malta -- that is where the Spitfires intercepted the Messerschmitts, Macchis and Reggianes as they swept eastwards in their droves, screening the big Junkers with their bomb loads as they pummeled the island beneath -- the most bombed patch of ground in the world.

Gripping and Informative
Revisado: 03-04-21
Really interesting story. A straight from the hip account of a fighter pilot from Canada in the RAF.
The narrative style can be difficult to follow as it switches between first person and third person with no change in narration style. Narration is pretty good but the heavy accent may take some getting used to.

Historia
Given that the suns of Draco stretch almost 16 light-years from end to end, it stands to reason that the cost of transportation is the most important factor driving the 32nd century. And since Illyrion is the element most needed for space travel, Lorq von Ray is plenty willing to fly through the core of a recently imploded sun in order to obtain seven tons of it.

Could not be bothered to finish it...
Revisado: 11-26-20
Although this book has some interesting points and occasionally a good idea, it simply isn’t worth the time it takes to listen to.
You get the feeling that this is one of those stories that is written for the author rather than the reader.
The story is convoluted and you are constantly waiting for the point at which the story will get interesting.... Although I didn’t listen to the end it doesn’t matter. Not even a perfect finale would save this book.
Narration is just fine.

Historia
Meet Surbiton’s most famous residents: Tom, Barbara, Margo and Jerry. It is Tom Good's 40th birthday, and he feels thoroughly unfulfilled. If only he can discover what 'It' is, and if he can, will his wife Barbara agree to do 'It' with him? The subsequent and sudden transformation of the Goods’ home into a smallholding causes consternation for Margo and Jerry next door, and they decide it’s their duty to interfere. So begins The Good Life, the much loved classic sitcom starring Richard Briers, Felicity Kendal, Paul Eddington and Penelope Keith.

Hilarious and great fun
Revisado: 09-22-20
BBC comedy at its best. This is basically a recording of the TV series with some narration to fill in the gaps from not having the visuals. So occasionally you loose some context, but still very easy to follow.

Historia
The Fallacy Detective has been the best-selling book for teaching logical fallacies and introduction to logic for over 15 years. What is a fallacy? A fallacy is an error in logic a place where someone has made a mistake in his thinking. “A cloud is 90 percent water. A watermelon is 90 percent water. Therefore, since a plane can fly through a cloud, a plane can fly through a watermelon.” This is an easy book for learning to spot common errors in reasoning. For ages 12 through adult. Fun to use - learn skills you can use right away.

Easy Education
Revisado: 10-08-19
This is a great logic resource, the lessons are easy to understand and full of humour, as are the examples of how various fallacies are frequently used in places like advertising and politics. Lots of appeal for students in their teens, but also helpful as an adult to become more familiar with the propaganda or marketing ploys I’m likely to be taken in by.
Highly recommend.

The key to a good marriage is honest, complete, and humble confession of sin. This short, little audiobook, coming from a pastor with 40 years of experience, offers concrete practical suggestions about how to confess sin properly and how to avoid other snares married people tend to get snagged on, usually depending on whether they're the man or the woman.

Revisado: 02-12-15
The Chestnut King is the finale to a wonderful trilogy and Nathan Wilson is probably the best author of this genre since Tolkein and Lewis.
Very well and clearly narrated... Listened to it several times now and it doesn't get stale.

Marryat is a master story teller
Revisado: 03-05-13
Captain Marryat gives a sense of realism to his adventure novels which few authors rival. His knowledge of the sea makes it clear that he is no armchair author. His character development and sense of right and wrong leave most modern authors for dead.
Narrator is clear and on the whole easy to listen to although he doesn't quite capture the intensity of the story.

Not sure if this was a spoof or not
Revisado: 03-05-13
For those of you who are after an historically accurate representations of the Arthurian legends stay away from this book. Pretty sure that people in this era did not have spectacles, drink port, or complain about the lack of electrical motors.
Narrators voice is nice clear and easy to listen too but by his lighthearted rendition makes it sound more like a spoof than every.
