A great storyline, unique in many ways. And an outstanding storyteller with the challenge of six characters to portray. I actually thought there were two narrators. This one drew me all the way in such that I felt I knew and cared for each person in the book.

Story, Characters and Narration

I thought the author told a very good story, did an excellent job of building characters we could like and believe are real. I've lived a life similar in some ways to this story. Neither my husband or I had ever been with another man and both of us had been married, but neither had children. And the children in this story add an important and interesting element. The narration was "spot on", so much so that I forgot there was a narrator. I found it compelling and entertaining.

Very Good Book in M/M Fiction

I rate books relative to other books in the genre. This wouldn't rate as well to me if it were in the Mystery section, but in gay romance, it compares very well. It is a very good "read" that held my attention and developed the characters to the point I felt I knew them. I also like the characters which makes a book more enjoyable to me. I even cried at one point, which is something I don't normally do. I'm a 70 year old hetero man for god's sake. Which makes my next comment a bit more understandable. A little less detail sex would be OK with me.

Made me Cry

The last two m/m books I've read brought me to tears and that doesn't happen often. In this book the characters were so likable and sweet I couldn't help but get emotional after one was treated so badly by his brother and the other brought him into his own family.
