Too much chatter

I love a good story but this author just seems to like hearing herself speak? Or maybe she is trying to cram more words into a weak plot? Either way, I gave her one try, and then two. That's more than I could barely take.

I'm not sure what other people have said but, it was a good story that just wouldn't end. I wanted it to just be done. Maybe that's just me.

Surprisingly good

I wouldn't have chosen this book if I had known the basic idea. I'm glad that I didn't look it up. It was really better than I would have looked for in a (zombie-like apocalyptic type) book. I would suggest it to friends and that says a lot for me as I don't toss titles out easily.

A wonderful listen

We have had this in many forms for many years. Our children would ask for the "Sally" tape on nights they could not sleep. She has a lovely voice and you can't help but relax!

Disappointing

Slow and unmemorable.
This second book was full of nonsense and very little storyline. A waste of time.
The concept gets more unclear for the reader to follow and at this point, I'm not sure this author even knew how to drag herself out of the swampy mess she has made of the story.

Good story

Not the best, nor the worst. The story precept can be a little hard to follow but the characters are clear. It ends in a spot that leaves you wanting for the next In the series.

Not his best, but good

As one of Kings "Constant Readers", I feel as though we are following his life. His angst of his youth gave us the intensity of his horror years. And then we had the confusion of his middle years and finally now the years of aged wisdom. This book follows that trail.
The story line is good and keeps you engaged for the most part although there were some stretched out and sleepy parts . The narration was good. I can't say I was thrilled with the "climax" of the book. It felt like a bit of a reach and left me disappointed. It's a great story concept that just never hits the spot that you want it to. I still liked the book and as long as SK keeps writing them, I will keep reading them!

Where does Shatter Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I absolutely loved this series. I don't know why I didn't read it before!
For the story...it gets top marks but it can be sort of "teenish" at times. I loved the characters but the narration was average...I KNOW this will be a movie... I went through the series in no time.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shatter Me?

Each book kept me excited....the story just kept me attached to the characters

What about Kate Simses’s performance did you like?

I believe she tried...she did a good job on the main character but the male characters lacked believability.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"In the future....the human spirit will explode with power!"
