A Great Listen!
Revisado: 12-28-11
Would you listen to Steve Jobs again? Why?
I would listen to Steve Jobs again because I enjoyed reading about the tech industry's development as it related to one of my favorite companies out there... Apple.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Steve Jobs was not always my favorite character in the book, but he was close to being one because of the things he accomplished. However, my ultimate favorite character mentioned in the book was, and has been for a while now, Steve Wozniak (Woz). He is the true definition of a good person.
What about Dylan Baker???s performance did you like?
I liked how Baker put the emotion that, I assume, the author wanted portrayed in his writing. For the most part, he was able to portray each character as I imagined him/her to be in real life from other pieces I have read throughout the years.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending of the book that details the hardships Steve Jobs went through in his battles with Cancer really hit home for me since I saw them first hand in my own mother. She lost her battle with Cancer and passed away 2 days after Steve Jobs did. I was in the hospital with her when the news that Jobs had died.
Any additional comments?
Even if you think you know everything there is to know about Steve Jobs or Apple, this book will, undoubtedly, shine some new light on certain subjects like Antennagate or Steve Jobs's personal life and family.

Lost in the annals of boxing is the sport's true Cinderella story. James J. Braddock, dubbed "Cinderella Man" by Damon Runyon, was a once promising light heavyweight for whom a string of losses in the ring and a broken right hand happened to coincide with the Great Crash of 1929.

Almost everyone knows the story of the girl who had a rough life and eventually rose to the top with the help of her fairy godmother and lived happily ever after. However, this story is much more than that. It is about an underdog pugilist that endured everything life threw at him and rose to the top with only the belief he had in himself and the desire to provide for his family during the Great Depression. It is a story that will touch your heart and prove to anyone that all one needs to succeed in life is perseverance, desire, and the love and support of family and friends. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Boxing fans and nonfans alike.

This was my very first audible book back in September of 2001. Since then, I tried listening to it several times with no success. Finally, audible put a higher quality recording up so I downloaded it and decided to try it again since the movie is coming out. I regret not listening to this book over and over earlier. I could not put my iPod down. It took me about a day or two to listen to the entire thing. In fact, I have bought the entire collection and plan to listen to them all in the upcoming days/weeks. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to laugh over and over again.

This book says outright what many have merely hinted at: that President George W. Bush knowingly misused the findings of the erroneous and incompetent U.S. intelligence community to provide a pretext for war with Iraq. The author hones in on the systematic weaknesses of the intelligence agencies that caused them to ignore the crucial signs leading up to the attacks of 9/11.

Truly Disturbing
Revisado: 04-15-05
Like many Americans, I have always had my suspicions about the war in Iraq. This book attmpts to shed some light on the matter. It is a great listen. I couldn't put my iPod down once I started listening. At the same time, it made me feel cheated and less trusting of our leaders in the highest offices of government. However, I feel that you should give it a try and decide, for yourself, what is truth and what is fiction.

It was Okay
Revisado: 04-03-05
This was my first Vince Flynn book so it took me a little while to get used to his particular style of writing. The storyline was good, but I felt that there were some parts that needed more explanation than what the author gave. In all fairness, though, this could be due to the fact that this is an abridged version of the book.

Nail-Biting
Revisado: 04-03-05
This was one of the most thrilling books that I have ever read. The author does a great job in taking you on a virtual tour of Europe and at the same time keeping your heart beating at a hundred miles an hour. The only warning that I have for you is that it can be a very controversial book for some people, but don't read too much into it. It is, by the way, only fiction.

interesting
Revisado: 04-03-05
The book does a good job in showing you the life of cadets at West Point. I learned quite a few things that I did not know before reading the book. However, the only gripe that I have is that the narration is very dry and it took me a while to get through this one.

Inspiring!
Revisado: 04-03-05
Between a Rock and a Hard Place was a great listen. It definitely kept your attention throughout. Based on the author's descriptions, I could actually picture the scenery that he was painting with his words. If I had to sum up this book with two words, I would say that it was entertaining and inspiring. In fact, when I finished it, I was left with a feeling of being able to accomplish anything and most of my problems seemed to diminish in the scope of things.

Great Book!
Revisado: 03-22-05
If you are at all interested in technology or intelligence, this is definitely the book for you. I figured it was going to be a retelling of everything that we already hear on the news and the internet. However, I learned a lot of things that I didn't even fathem existed. The only reason that I gave the book a 4 out of 5 is that Keefe left me with an urge for more at the end. This was done intentionally as he admits that his book is not the "final word" on the matter, but "the first." I highly recommend it to everyone. It kept me glued to my iPod for hours per day.
