This book wasn’t horrible but I do feel it was VERY unnecessary. And I’m sorry were we supposed to be rooting for Tone and Netta? Tone is not the good guy this book would like you to believe. How tf you leave a girl that was down for you since high school days for a girl that you don’t even know?! Never talked to, never touched?! And claim you’re in love with her?! Crazy! And I could’ve sworn in the first book Sonya didn’t give head, hence one of the reasons Tone claimed to be cheating on her. What could Netta had done by merely conversing with Tone that was so deep and real that he was willing to throw everything away? Yeah okay. And now magically Tone isn’t a cheater?! There were other discrepancies throughout the book as well. Like did he forget what he wrote?! All and all the story didn’t make much sense. Like Netta only being in the coma for a week waking up to the PP cutting Mimi off completely saying she’s strung out?

Historia
After a reunion with an old friend goes wrong in a Long Island nightclub, Kasheef Williams is forced to protect himself by any means necessary. The only problem is that prying eyes see everything. Those eyes belong to Alija Bell. She runs, but Kasheef sees her face, and he tells her that it's best for her to get temporary amnesia. Afraid for her life and the safety of her daughter, she keeps her mouth shut, but when a tape of the murder surfaces, the only face that is visible is Alija's. Now the police are looking for their eyewitness.

So Unrealistic
Revisado: 12-27-22
I’m sorry, I didn’t finish. I know that these stories are fictitious but these are starting to feel like fantasy. Not believable at all! They lost me with the jury duty angle! Apparently they don’t know how jury selection works. If by some wild coincidence that Mickey made it onto that jury any good attorney would have figured out that connection in a New York minute! I can’t and then I just know that this book isn’t going to end, good or bad. One thing about these two they will drag a series on for an eternity!!

There's a saying in Brooklyn that if you come from my part of town, you're from around the way. Well Lyric, Juicy, and Precious are all from around the way. They all live in Crown Heights, one of the most notorious sections of Brooklyn, but to them it's just a place they call home. Around the Way Girls 2 is a fast-paced look at the life of some street-smart women who think they know it all but are about to get the lessons of their lives.

Revisado: 05-23-22
I don’t know if this book was really as bad as I’m thinking or if the narrator just made it seem worse than it truly was. The narrator is absolutely horrible! But let’s not mistake it, the stories were equally as bad! Absolutely no depth, story lines and back stories were so shallow and typical. Characters had no development or were nondescript for the most part! I know it’s fiction but these stories were so fake it was almost comical. I honestly couldn’t take any of these stories seriously. I would not recommend this book at all!!

Historia
Urban Books' popular Around the Way Girls series is back, bringing readers more dramatic tales about the lives of some tough, resourceful women who can hold their own when things get rough on the streets. Growing up poor and biracial, Shannon never quite fit in. Not truly accepted by either side of her family, the confused teenager turns to the one thing that loves her back unconditionally - the streets. With a bottle of liquor at her side and a worthless mentality in tow, Shannon allows the local strip club and the pole to become her new family.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Revisado: 04-25-22
I couldn’t get past chapter 3 of the first story! The colorist/racist mindset and attitudes of the author are absolutely disgusting!! I know this is a fictional story but it’s very much a reality for black women/people. Totally unbelievable that the author would think that THIS would make a good read for any dark skinned black woman. It perpetuates the story of black women being nothing more than bed wenches to white me and light skinned black women thinking that they are the chosen ones! Just disgusting! Idk about the other two stories, I didn’t get to them the first turned me completely off!!

Revisado: 04-19-21
Like can this series & ALL of the characters and the PREDICTABLE clunky plots PLEASE GO DIE?! Please! It should have ended 2 books ago! This YaYa & Leah lovers quarrel type thing is sooooooo TIRED!! Like I am EXHAUSTED!! I don’t like anything about it! Quite frankly it’s unrealistic and stupid AF!! Then THIS narrator.... they went from bad to worse!! Like I found myself laughing at how dumb he sounded when he was speaking in the characters voices. I couldn’t believe him!! I had tears EVERYWHERE!! I’m sorry these stories are TRASH!! Nah, I can’t say trash, trash. But it’s definitely whatever is DIRECTLY before trash! I know it’s fiction but these books are TOO fictiony (is that a word?) totally unbelievable! These things could NEVER happen EVER! They need to change the name of this series to “She/He Survives This” because all I get from these stories is paragraphs of blah blah blah followed by some pages of yada yada followed by pages of these characters SURVIVING some un escapable Jigsaw level type torture situation! Nonsense!!! I am SICKKKKKKKK!!

Revisado: 04-17-21
WHY do they keep allowing THIS woman to narrate these stories!!! I literally cannot get thru these books past like the 2nd chapter! Her voice is so ANNOYING!! But then these NEVER ENDING stories are so annoying as well! Like there is absolutely no reason that this story is still going on and for like 4 more books!! It’s giving very much As The World Turns, Sunday Lifetime Movie Network vibes!! At this point idgaf what happens to ANY of these characters and storylines!! Like seriously wrap it up!! This should have ended in book 2! Ashley Antoinette does this with EVERY book! I get it, it’s a cash grab but BROOOOOOO! These “classics” are exhausting AF!!! Don’t nobody got time!!!

Revisado: 04-15-21
Omg! They just let anybody narrate these stories! She sound a mess! Is it LEE-ah or LAY-ah? I feel like it’s LEE-ah but she kept pronouncing it LAY even though it’s CLEARLY spelled LEAH!! Is it DUH-saya or DAY-saya?? I feel like it’s DUH there isn’t a “Y” ANYWHERE in that girls name! It drove me so crazy I had to stop listening and go read the book myself, which was VERY GOOD!!

Revisado: 04-10-21
This was EXTREMELY painful to listen to. The narrators voice was so irritating. The three stories were lazily tied together. The first story was meh. The second story was just OKAY. It was creative in exposing certain things but once they were revealed I had to go back and re listen which was annoying. The third story was just okay as well. Nothing to write home about.
