Historia
On November 5, 1942, a U.S. cargo plane slammed into the Greenland ice cap. Four days later, a B-17 on the search-and-rescue mission also crashed. Miraculously, all nine men on the B-17 survived. The U.S. military launched a second daring rescue operation, but the Grumman Duck amphibious plane sent to find the men vanished. In this thrilling adventure, Mitchell Zuckoff offers a spellbinding account of these harrowing crashes and the fate of the survivors and their would-be saviors.

Excellent listen
Revisado: 05-08-18
This book is exceptional. The author narrates and he is a wonder reader. Lovely voice. Gripping. I was really interested in this story and I had somehow never heard about it before my dad recommended this to me. Well done. Will listen again.

Important and provocative, The Undead examines why even with the tools of advanced technology, what we think of as life and death, consciousness and nonconsciousness, is not exactly clear - and how this problem has been further complicated by the business of organ harvesting.

Any additional comments?
After listening for a while, I found that the narrator sounds a lot like Neil Degrasse Tyson, who has a great voice! I am very picky about narrators and I loved this one. I am and always have been interested in the studies surrounding death and dying, so this was a great read/listen for me. Very interesting!

Revisado: 11-19-15
Where does Troublemaker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I am surprising myself by saying this, but I think it's at number 1. I enjoyed this listen immensely.
What other book might you compare Troublemaker to and why?
I don't think I have another book to compare it to.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh and cry several times. It is such a complex and touching book read beautifully by the author. I really loved it.
Any additional comments?
I am already starting my second listen. I am now a big Leah Remini fan and I really didn't know anything about her before I read this book. She's an incredibly strong, smart, and emotional woman. Not to mention she's hilarious. I highly recommend this book. It was a joy to hear her read it.

Historia
Follow New York Times best-selling author Mary Roach - but be careful not to trip - as she weaves through personal anecdotes and everyday musings riddled with her uncanny wit and amazingly analytical eye. These essays, which found a well-deserved home within the pages of Reader's Digest as the column "My Planet," detail the inner workings of hypochondriacs, hoarders, and compulsive cheapskates. (Did we mention neurotic interior designers and professional list makers?) For Roach, humor is hidden in the most unlikely places, which means that nothing is off limits.

Such a treat.
Revisado: 09-24-15
What made the experience of listening to Driving the Saudis the most enjoyable?
The author is also the narrator and she is lovely to listen to. I have listened to this book more than once, partly because the story is great, but mostly because I just really like her voice.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were several moments in this book that moved me. By the end, you very much feel like you spent time with all these people. I felt all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I got angry, I was frustrated. But overall, my heart was warmed.
Any additional comments?
I just love this book. I highly recommend listening.

Historia
For two thousand years, cadavers have been involved in science's boldest strides and weirdest undertakings. They've tested France's first guillotines, ridden the NASA Space Shuttle, been crucified in a Parisian laboratory to test the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin, and helped solve the mystery of TWA Flight 800. For every new surgical procedure, from heart transplants to gender reassignment surgery, cadavers have been there alongside surgeons, making history in their quiet way.

Great book - audio production needs work
Revisado: 08-12-15
Any additional comments?
I really love this book. I read it myself a few years ago and decided to read it again via audiobook. The narrator is actually great; she has a nice voice and I like her delivery. My issue is with the quality of the audio. There is this white noise-type sound that you can hear as she speaks, and it cuts to silence sometimes when she stops speaking. Its incredibly irritating. I listen to lots of audiobooks and I've never experienced this. Maybe time to rerecord this one.

For John Chatterton and Richie Kohler, deep wreck diving was more than a sport. Any additional comments?
I will listen to anything narrated by Campbell Scott. He truly has one of the greatest voices of all time. This listen was fantastic. The story is fascinating and the production was done really well. We do not often discover a German u-boat at the bottom of the sea that was previously unaccounted for. The story is exciting, the action is dangerous, and the people left an emotional impression on me. I will definitely be listening again. Really loved this one.
