What a fascinating, inspiring and intriguing woman!
What a life she’s having.
On a different note, I love her voice when she speaks as her mother. Worth the credit - get it, you won’t be disappointed.

Historia
“Can I kiss you?” It was two months before the world premiere of Juno, and Elliot Page was in his first ever queer bar. The hot summer air hung heavy around him as he looked at her. And then it happened. In front of everyone. A previously unfathomable experience. Here he was on the precipice of discovering himself as a queer person, as a trans person. Getting closer to his desires, his dreams, himself, without the repression he’d carried for so long. But for Elliot, two steps forward had always come with one step back.

This will make you laugh, cry and laugh again and cherish those dear friendships like the one between Kate and Tilley
Revisado: 05-31-23
So different from the Netflix show and sooo much better. The friendship these two share is heartwarming and relatable.
VO Artist does a fabulous job reading all of the characters. She brings depth and warmth to everyone, especially in the last several chapters.
Enjoy!

Highly recommend! Narrator does a great job bouncing between Spanish, English and a thick Irish accent.
Cute story of love, family, relationships between both of those things and what it takes to maintain and grow them all.

Historia
Mary B. Addison killed a baby. Allegedly. She didn't say much in that first interview with detectives, and the media filled in the only blanks that mattered: a white baby had died while under the care of a churchgoing black woman and her nine-year-old daughter. The public convicted Mary, and the jury made it official. But did she do it?

Hard to listen to and yet couldn’t stop
Revisado: 04-19-23
This story reminds me of when I was working in social services. So many kids that just needed a break… a break from where they were, from their “parents” the system and in some ways, themselves.
Mary is a haunting character. So much potential, if only given the chance.

A self-described “traveling fool and nature freak,” Jenifer takes listeners with her all over the world, from Cape Town to Bali; Washington, DC, to the Serengeti; Mongolia to St. Petersburg; and Argentina to Antarctica to demonstrate how she walks in her joy by seeking pleasure in everyday encounters.

Bukowski reincarnated as a Leo
Revisado: 01-18-23
Yes, Bukowski was a poet, Leo is not. The angst, joy and rapture of the 90s and beyond that Leo navigates us through is wonderful and heart wrenching. Nathan is masterful at character development with all genders. A powerful work that pulls at your heart strings leaving you crying in one chapter and will leave you cheering in the next chapter.
I highly recommend this book. I look forward to hearing Nathan’s latest book and hope He reads it.
Enjoy!!
