Alvar is a writer to watch and remember. She is brilliant, and the stories are riveting and original. I will be teaching this book in my college literature class next spring.

Not Literature, But A Lot of Fun.

This carefree, and at times heartfelt, book is not going down in history as great writing, but it helped me get my mind off of a hard time in my life. I feel life Andy is my fabulous, gossipy friend. This book is fun escapism.
