This Creationist Empathizes

I'm really grateful for this perspective. I do know that it takes a lot for someone to change their mind. I'm not sure how much progress this book makes in changing my mind and believing in stuff like evolution and an old Earth but I do know that it has helped me empathize with some of my fellow Christians who do believe in evolution or I should say accept evolution. I started this book knowing that this is a topic that Christians need to be able to talk about no matter what camp they're in and I have had a fair amount of my knowledge come from a single source in Kent Hovind and I'm really grateful my campus minister wanted us to go through this book here at the U of A.

I was so grateful to see this book on audible I'm looking forward to the day I can see it in a movie or a play or something my uncle used to read this to his children and I remember hearing some of it if not all of it when I was pretty young the name stuck with me for the last 30 years or so. thank you.

Needed the truth for Phil. Prof.

I'm taking a class at uofa called mind matter and God. almost finished and was told I can pick my term paper topic. there was no rebuttal against Derek Parfit's disregard of dualism and i wasn't sure if anyone had ever explained why christians are dualists. Reading this book made it evident to me how elaborately designed this class was with the goal of decimating Christianity. this book addressed personal identity, which the class declared was "not what matters", and several other ideas that build on one another to the end of pure automaton theory, as my Abnormal Psychology prof. puts it...I'm grateful for an opportunity to reinforce my "knowledge" :)

an important piece in recovery

before listening to every Man's Battle I googled criticism for the book and found someone recommending surfing for God and so I listened to that first I am very grateful that I listened to every Man's Battle it was good to get a reminder about the bouncing away the eyes I've been a big fan of New Life ministries for several years and it was good to get the full picture of the strategies outlined in this book thank you.

New Ageism is not new

Epilogue was moving. New age perspective helps me to understand others as I am a Christian and a recovering person active in the secular Twelve Step world. It's good for me to see common misconceptions of Christianity in order to better give an answer for the Hope I have within me! Narration was good for turning it up to 2X speed... lol Thanks and God bless us, everyone!
