Terrible "whatever-it-is" from Michael Lewis

Begins with the career of a former female astronaut who ended up leading NOAA. Highlights the importance of NOAA and data in general for government. Points out that Obama was smart and brought data science to his campaign and later to his administration. The story then vectors to the Trump administration's ( Wilbur Ross") ignorance at not appreciating data. Then how the new head of NOAA, Trumps nominee that owned Accuweather is focussed on financial returns and is making weather data unavailable and difficult to get at for scientists and researchers. A new vector then to an account of the damage being done by a tornado being described by Michael Lewis in a lame faux southern accent. The tornado falls upon a county that overwhelmingly voted for Trump of course. Sociologists from a University are then introduced to speculate about whom would be more likely to survive a tornado, a democrat or a republican. The answer it appears, is a democrat, unless you happen to be a Christian Republican that is part of an organized church group!

If you are a Trump hater, you will love this book.

I like much of what Michael Lewis has written but this--"whatever-it-is", is not one of them. May I please have my time back that you wasted?
