Mike Cavanaugh was a firefighter; it was his job to rescue people. Though inviting them home wasn't usually part of the job description. But when he pulled Christine Palmer out of her burning house, something about the gutsy single mom made him want to protect her, to make her life a little better.

I enjoyed the struggle, and the helping hand. Unfortunately society’s reaction to the truth of Chtistina’s Identity proved realistic.

I believe…God, help my unbelief
Revisado: 04-05-25
This was a touching story involving an adoption process gone awry four years after the birth of little Joey. Although his birth mother, Wendy loved and wanted him with her whole heart, she knew the violence of her husband was too much of a risk.
After good behavior, Wendy’s husband is released from prison early and learns of his son. He wants him back! The court gives them and Joey’s adoptive parents shared custody for a short time until he is to be place permanently with his birth parents.
So many twists and turns keep you wiggling in you seat.
I loved the focus of God through little Joey, so courageous and sure of his belief (which he learned from Jonah, his cousin). God works in miraculous ways even when you doubt His involvement or do not ask Him to join you in your planning.
This was a very touching book and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relationship with Our Heavenly Father.
Well written and well read.

There is a small town in Oregon called Middle Falls. When people die there, one of three things happens to them: They pass on to what is next. They are recycled to an earlier point in their life. They become spirits who are tethered to the spot where they died. This is the story of a tethered spirit.

Childhood passion and love
Revisado: 02-16-25
I love Shawn Inmon's books! Even with this short story, I was still drawn into the characters' emotions, as he has such a gift for doing.
Allowing the ghosts in this story to be seen by a child became a sort of “secret” you were privy to. Shawn tends to draw you in by your heartstrings as you impatiently wait to see what happens next. He never ceases to amaze me at the end with satisfying packages of unexpected endings.
Thank you, Shawn, for offering another gift to your favorite followers!

Emotional Heartstrings Pulled
Revisado: 12-07-24
I loved how relatable this story was for me. I laughed, cried, even sobbed through the lives of the characters. The story was smooth and well written as you drift in and out of scenes, events or over time seamlessly.
The narrator has an extraordinary gift of pulling you in and helping you to actually LIVE the story as she reads.
I would recommend this book to all fiction readers. It’s fantastic!

I enjoyed the pleasant voice of the narrator, very expressive and story appropriate.
The story allowed me to laugh, tear up, and feel compassion for the characters. Best of all, when I closed my eyes or found myself completely drawn into the book (which I LOVE), I felt like I was right there…existing in close proximity of each event, conversation, struggle, or elation. I felt like I could touch “sleepy” the horse, smell the waterfront air, or run my hand through “Mr. Grits’” fur.
This book was romantic, and authentic, and even provided some helpful self-assessments in the “Horse Therapy” corral.
I would recommend this book to readers who love excitement, love, and authenticity in their reads.
Lisa Wingate is known for such work and I always enjoy a good “sit-down” with one of her treasures. She constantly impresses me with her talent without compromising values.
Thank you for your continued dedication to your readers!

Outstanding character development
Revisado: 03-13-24
I am reviewing this series as a whole (9 books). I enjoy fantasy and especially Grimm stories. So I was fascinated to discover this remarkable, can't-stop-listening set of 9 books.
Sabrina and Daphne are dragged into society's awful orphanage system when it is discovered that their parents are missing. While being placed in over a dozen foster homes, they finally end up in “Storylanding,” where they meet their believed-to-be dead - Granny Grimm. Here, they experience wild, wack, dangerous, and funny events, unfortunately discovering that their parents had been kidnapped and placed under a sleeping spell. Through the many adventures, the girls learn the keys to magical secrets, establishing an independence of their own; however, they work within the family Grimm business as detectives. While solving the crazy happenings within the town, Sabrina and Daphne continue to focus on waking and retrieving their parents, which is not an easy feat. Hope is not lost, as the girls use their strengths to conquer all they face to save their family.
The narrator was extraordinary. The multiple-character depictions were never confused. He read soothingly while being expressive during the stories' fluctuating events. I loved it!
This series was delightful. I found that I would become so engrossed in the events I would need to stop what I was doing, or I would back up the time so I could hear every detail clearly and not miss anything. I zipped through all nine books, one after another, desiring to know what happened next.
I would highly recommend this series to older children, especially once they have experienced the Grimm stories as written. And, of course, adults will love this series- significantly if you were raised with Grimm stories and love fantasy.
I loved it! I know you will, too!

Outstanding story plot
Revisado: 02-23-24
I loved the detailed character development, painting not only a physical picture but a picture from with the characters as well. The apprehension, fear, disappointment, insecurity, love and sadness were lived along side each character as they faced, stumbled over or conquered each milestone.
I loved the creative viewpoints taken in this novel; Perspectives from all angles.
I loved the gentle but slick twisting and turning of the events within the plot and the characters swirling into an unpredictable climatic ending.
The narrators vocal depiction of each character made the interactions and self-talk clearly identifiable. The pace and soothing voices created a pleasant novel to not only enjoy but for many hours.
I truly enjoyed this novel. It was not what I guess I imagined it to be, it was so much better.
I recommend this book to readers of all types as it is a mystery, thriller, creative fiction, woman’s fiction, pro-life active, and more.

Karl Strong is lonely. Not quite alone, which is, perhaps, worse. His best friend moved away, his mother died, and his father has crawled into a hole and pulled it in after him. He is a talented athlete, but after high school, he lets himself go and dies of a heart attack. Luckily, this is Middle Falls, where death is rarely the end of the story. Karl will have every chance to find what he needs.

Deeply Profound!
Revisado: 10-23-23
Struggles, disappointments, discouragement, deceit, enlightenment, forgiveness, encouragement, love, dedication, perseverance, and family.
Karl Strong begins his recorded story after the horrible passing of his dearly beloved mother. He struggles to crawl from the clutches of grief, Karl distances himself unknowingly as a young teen; His father, Finley looks to the bottom of the bottle to drown his pain; neglecting his son, his own well-being and his other responsibilities in the meantime. Each proceeding life, Karl is longing for a deep-seated need in his heart but struggles to put a finger on it.
The narrator, Scott Bricks, is so passionate, you actually fall into Karl’s life. You experience his loneliness, disappointment, inner turmoil and jubilation through his: tonality, vocal character depiction, and strong emotion. His pace and fluency were comfortable; while the distinct storytelly resonated by Shawn Inmon was saucy, fulfilling, and perfectly delectible like a good pizza, , Lol.
As a huge Shawn Inmon fan, overcome by his Kragdanon Series and Middle Fall series (books 1-18), each book has left me longing for more. Although, no doubt- I could read Inmon books for years, this book seemed to touch me differently from the rest. Emotions tended to be on the forefront, leading each life of Karl as he finally realizes his search for “family”.
I was so touched by Inmon’ writing, I read the book with deep intensions and the motivation. To receive the message being sent - the Golden Rule. I fell in love with each character; flaws, intensions and even misgivings. Shawn Inmon has true talent in his specialized art form and should be recognized for such.
I would recommend this series to all lovers of the following: science fiction, time travel, fiction, and the general category of outstanding books.
Thank you Shawn for so many wonderful traveling experiences, I am looking forward to your next surprise!
