The story is pretty decent and I enjoyed it overall but the children’s voices are so nasal and so irritating and unnecessary it definitely distracts from the story. Predictable ending but it’s nice to put on while you cool or do a task and don’t want something you have to pay super close attention to

If you’re trying to get your numbers up for your book goal this is a pretty solid choice. Story is decent but the ending is a bit abrupt. The narrator does an excellent job and helps you stay engaged to the story

I really really enjoy this one

Im a long time horror and thriller lover and while this isn’t as horrific as the normal horror books I choose this was a lighter version of a horror book. I’m very very pleased I took this recommendation from TikTok. It had an odd start but the ending wraps it up so perfectly, I have zero negative notes.

Favorite of the 6

After listening to all 6 in the series today like someone was going to take my phone this was by far my favorite story and performance and I’m glad I went and order and finished this one last. It was like a unyielding suffering of modern life with off twists but I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it

All the roses to the narrator

I’ve never had the absolute pleasure of hearing Suzan Toren but her performance here was fantastic, great rich soothing voice. I could hear her read the ingredients on a cereal box and be entertained. The story was nice but I felt that the ending was a tad rushed and collected together at the last minute. Surprising takes on child rearing and the differences between raising sons and daughters.

The most oblivious characters

The performance isn’t bad but I called the twist about 20 minutes into the book, if even that. Over all I was just shocked that someone who is supposed to be this huge VP of a PR firm is that dense and clueless.
