Historia
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

Well worth the read

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It reads like a Japanese manga/comicbook. I'm definitely going to follow this author.

Historia
Adam Binder has lost what matters most to him. Having finally learned the true identity of the warlock preying on his family, what was supposed to be a final confrontation with the fiend instead became a trap that sent Adam’s beloved Vicente into the realm of the dead, where none living are meant to be. Bound by debt, oath, and love, Adam blazes his own trail into the underworld to get Vicente back, and to end the threat of the warlock once and for all. But the road to hell is paved with far more than good intentions.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Revisado: 10-13-22
This was a very good read. More fantasy than horror. This was a different style of writing that I didn't know Mr King had. I loved that he mentioned Piers Anthony, who was the first author I ever started following as a kid. Ultimately, this book was well worth the time and "credit".

He overheard the story by chance in a pub and it’s guaranteed to go viral - all he needs to do is persuade the World’s Unluckiest Man to talk to him. His best friend Larry’s quest for killer clickbait material has led him to a recently appeared shanty town in Glasgow, where he finds some kind of urban voodoo cult. It's been a while since I read a book that was worth my time. Definitely going to look up the author and check out his other titles. I'm 50/50 on the ending. Seemed a little "Stephen King'ishly" anticlimactic.

Historia
Patricia Campbell's life has never felt smaller. Her ambitious husband is too busy to give her a goodbye kiss in the morning, her kids have their own lives, her senile mother-in-law needs constant care, and she's always a step behind on thank-you notes and her endless list of chores. The one thing she has to look forward to is her book club, a close-knit group of Charleston women united by their love of true crime and paperback fiction. At these meetings they're as likely to talk about the Manson family as they are marriage, motherhood, and neighborhood gossip.

Not my particular taste
Revisado: 08-04-21
I'm not going to say the book was "bad", but I don't care for this style of writing. It was like a old-school 1930's detective novel with a sci-fi horror twist....that I couldn't connect with. I didn't care for the narrator either. The only reason I'm not finishing this book is because its free with membership. I'll keep it in my library and will try to come back to it latter.
