Historia
In 1978, Ivan Tuttle was living a carefree life, going from one party to the next, from one high to another — when his fun, free life was interrupted by a pain in his leg. Doctors told him he had a dangerous blood clot in his leg — but Ivan didn’t pay much attention to that. He was 26 and felt fine; blood clots were a problem for his grandfather, not him. Until the clock ran out.

Political Story that contains very little believable information
Revisado: 09-13-24
it starts off telling you about hell. unfortunately, by the time you finally get to heaven, the story is so completely different from every other NDE story that it left me totally unable to believe anything. he said. politics should not be part of an NDE story. The very instant he started talking about how Democrats are trying to turn the United States into a socialist country and how that is against God, I stopped listening. regretted my purchase and promise not to recommend this book to any of my thousands of reviewers.
in my opinion, this book was a waste of money. if you want to read a story that makes sense and is filled with positive information, read any one of the books by Betty j. Edie. as well as several other authors who are uplifting and positive rather than this negative crap. I truly hated the book and have never given a review. this poor of a reading. I review /listen to more than 20 books a month. this book is the first total failure

Historia
At the age of 31, Betty Eadie died after routine surgery. The events that followed can only be described as the most profound and extensive near-death experience ever recorded. During the time she was clinically dead, Betty was given knowledge of the afterlife that would make even the greatest skeptic think twice. As she traveled through the spiritual realm, she learned more about the laws and history of the universe than perhaps anyone before her.

I missed hearing the story of the wino in the alley, which was in the paperback that I read many years ago. ago. the wino stood out to me in such a way that it is always in my mind. as a result, when I purchased the audiobook. I was dismayed to find it not in this this book. for me. that was the most powerful story in the entire book.
I have read the book many times since I purchased it right after it had been published. following up with the audiobook today was such a joy to hear Betty's voice.

I did not like the ending. I won't spoil it but the story has an ending that devastated me. All I can say is a mother's love will overcome any situation, no matter how hard.

Historia
Anthony Fauci is arguably the most famous–and most revered–doctor in the world today. His role guiding America sanely and calmly through Covid (and through the torrents of Trump) earned him the trust of millions during one of the most terrifying periods in modern American history, but this was only the most recent of the global epidemics in which Dr. Fauci played a major role. His crucial role in researching HIV and bringing AIDS into sympathetic public view and his leadership in navigating the Ebola, SARS, West Nile, and anthrax crises, make him truly an American hero.

Thank you, Dr. Fauci, for your years of service to our country
Revisado: 07-25-24
I dislike the way he was treated by the Trump administration. after so many years of service to our country and our health, he deserved better. after all the years he served our country and the people through so many health crises, it is despicable that he was treated as poorly as he was.
after serving through so many presidential administrations, he always did what he could to advise the president and the people on what to do. I recall during the AIDS epidemic he was the voice of reason. so many people died and he grieved every loss as if it was his own. when covid-19 hit our country, it was unfortunate that we had a president who only cared about himself and the ratings, rather than the people.
if you believe we need 4 more years of trump, Read this book so you can learn the truth about how dangerous that would be.

Historia
After a tumultuous period in American politics, a new administration has just been sworn in, and to everyone’s surprise the president chooses a political enemy for the vital position of secretary of state. There is no love lost between the president of the United States and Ellen Adams, his new secretary of state. But it’s a canny move on the part of the president. With this appointment, he silences one of his harshest critics, since taking the job means Adams must step down as head of her multinational media conglomerate

on the edge of my seat. Glad I did the audiobook so I didn't Skip forward as I would have had I been reading the book. Heavy suspense always has me rushing to get to the good stuff. Since I had the audio version the story was full of suspense and every plot twist was carefully laid out. one of the best stories I have ever read. Hillary has the experience as Secretary of State to add so much to the plot and give.clear vision of what was happening.
Can't wait for the next one.

Revisado: 06-16-24
Dick Cheney is a true Patriot with strong views and stands by his beliefs. While we are.strong adversaries in our politics, we would both stand FOR the Constitution and against anyone who tried to overrun our democracy. Just as I defend his right to disagree with me, he would stand and.fight.for my right to stand up for my beliefs.

In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

This author provides everything I need in a good read.
Revisado: 03-11-24
starting with the story of Lauren, her teenage boyfriend Linc, Jillian finds the strength she needs to leave the sadness of her old life behind when she comes to live in the house that had belonged to her grandmother. Jillian has a daughter named Grace who is able to communicate with Lauren. initially, Jillian is terrified and unable to believe that her daughter can communicate with Lauren. Jillian tries to convince Grace that Lauren is just her imaginary friend but not real.
there is so much to unpack in this book and so many ups and downs as Jillian finds the strength to be a good mother to both of her children, and the courage to stand up to those who have done her wrong in the past. there are several twists in the plot leaving me changing course throughout the story. not knowing who Janie is early on in the story to finding her place in the last chapters. I turn to Karen White romance books because it's not just another sappy love story. the narrator is perfect for this book. she manages to voice every character so that you know who is talking at any given time.
I have read almost every book Karen White has written. including her stand-alones as well as series. there is even a mention in this book about the House on Tradd Street which is another book written by Karen White and the first book in the Tradd street series.
if you get the opportunity to read this book, don't pass it up. I prefer audio books. they work best for me and I truly love the narrators in Karen White's books.

How do I rate this book as if it was wonderful when it is really based on horror
Revisado: 02-26-24
I am glad that Jaycee wrote a second book about surviving after the horror of 18 years in captivity. well, the first book was mostly about the horror. she survived at the hands of two very evil people, this book is about all but she lived after she was free. as she says in her story, everything is the first for her and her daughters. this is truly a book of firsts for her/ them. I am so glad she survived and was able to bring her children into a better world. she is so blessed that her mother and her family accept the children without repercussions. it is truly not the children's fault, nor Jaycee's.
I believe in happy endings even after horror. she brought her children their own happily ever after once she was free of the criminals who tried to destroy her life. it is true that you can survive horrible abuse and walk away stronger. she is living proof of this.
