It wasn't riveting

The story was well thought out. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I've worked for the Government for 40 years and can relate to the intimidation and "you're not seeing the Big picture" speech. I will follow up with the next book to hear the outcome. As for the Narrator. Not a big fan. Narration was not what I expected. We had trouble differentiating between characters at times. Somewhat robotic with pronunciation of simple words.
Like I mentioned. Will follow up to see the outcome of the not so idle threat and intimidation.

Not my favorite

This was a difficult book to listen to. It never captured my full attention. Rehashing former characters. Hanging the prosecutions case on a debt collection technique that is legal in every State was a huge leap. Im returning for a refund. The ending was too predictable. It appears the author didn't bring his "A" game on this one. I couldn't help but notice you didn't bash Pelosi for encouraging people to visit China Town after President Trump placed the travel Ban. Seriously took some inaccurate and inflammatory cheap shots at President Trump as well as those that support him.
I got my refund!

Mr. Connelly has my attention. I will follow the Lincoln Lawyer and Bosch until I complete both series. I enjoy Peter Giles narration and will attempt to locate his work for other novelists. I highly recommend.
