Couldn't wait to devour this one!

Loved the story, and performance by the narrator. However, there's an issue of muting of a few words in the later chapters. It isn't a problem that occurs all throughout the book, only a handful of times towards the end. Hope someone can get it fixed soon!

Drama! Drama! Drama!!!

I received this book via Audible Escape, and I cannot finish it. I will, however, let this book run without listening for the benefit of the narrators, who did an excellent job. There was too much going on in this book. Wife of an ex-boyfriend drama; ex-wife of current boyfriend drama, secrets coming out of the woodwork virtually back to back. And it is all handled like how teens would handle things. Also, the declarations of love came only a couple of weeks after they hooked up with no development of their relationship whatsoever. Although the narrators were perfect, this book is a very disappointing listen. Needless to say I will not continue with this series.

Wow! Lazlo!!!

I just have to say that these stories are HOT!!! And the narrators, Lazlo Hollyfeld in particular, did a pretty good job. I noticed Lazlo didn't have a lot of audiobooks under his belt so I took that into account before placing harsh judgment on his performance. There were times in the first book when he was a bit too campy, had me rolling my eyes, but it wasn't enough to make me stop listening. His voice is deeeeeeeeeep ladies, and his performance by the third book was phenomenal. This is definitely worth a credit, or AE listen, especially if you are a fan of the series, and author.

This book didn't disappoint me at all. I treasure all of Helena Hunting's books. Amazing storytelling and lovable characters.

I've tried to like this series. There is misogyny a plenty throughout these books. And the only reason I continued listening is the fact that Biscuit and a couple of minor characters were funny af. In Biscuit's book he's a complete jerk to women, and Kat is an idiot. She has an inner monologue that states she'd "Have a man to put her in her place. But also cherish her. " That was when I knew I had to stop with this series.

And it only gets worse from there. Needless to say I didn't finish this book.

The narrators did a great job however. even Melissa Lions did the best she could with the character she had to work with. Very disappointed.

Was hoping for a smart romance

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love the Morgans, don't get me wrong, but the female lead wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Be that as it may, this was a great fun story. I would recommend, but only to those who are looking for cute and crazy fun who doesn't mind an annoying female lead.

Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was Ryan. He's sweet and all around good guy. Not sure if I would've been as patient with f in the story. I would've given up on her and moved on to someone else.

What about Lauren Rowe and John Lane ’s performance did you like?
Mr. Lane's performance was, and always is perfect. The author didn't do a bad job at all.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The powerpoint presentations were very fun to listen to.

Any additional comments?
My only gripe with Captain is that the female character tended to jump to too many conclusions, (to the point where I'm convinced she's just not very smart or unable to learn from her mistakes.) and was wishy washy with her feelings for Ryan. So many authors do this, and it's tiresome.

Everything else in this book was pure gold.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this audiobook because it's a genuinely fun read and listen. The story - to me - started off a little disturbing until a little later when it's explained away. Lucas and Avery's story is about unrequited love with an element that isn't used that much in romance stories.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Lucas' mother, because she has no filter and is funny af.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Lucas was talking with his mother and they had a conversation regarding her chicken apron. Mr. Cendese did a great job narrating this scene.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I could listen to this book in one sitting I would.

Any additional comments?

This is the first book by Ms Van Dyken that I've finished. Wasn't a fan of her other new adult books. With that said, I was a bit reluctant to get Cheater. The only reason why I bought it was because of the narrators. Lucy Rivers is one of my favorites. I'm glad I did take a chance on this book. Her narration made it very easy to identify with the characters. And that is soooo important with audiobooks.

I'll be honest, the main reason I bought this was because of Will M. Watt. He's an amazingly talented narrator with a soothing deep voice. He did an amazing job narrating along with Charlotte Cole.

The characters in the book were not very mature. The miscommunication, the flip flopping of emotions made my teeth clench in irritation. The characters are supposed to be in their mid 20's, but it seemed they were more teenagers than adults. I can understand an athlete behaving like this. Not a doctor.

I don't think I'll pick up another Amy Daws book.

Helena Hunting has a wonderful sense of humor!

I absolutely loved this book and the audiobook was well performed. Nathan Everett and Muffy Newtown did a great job narrating this piece. Nathan's smooth gentle voice was exactly how I heard Alex in my head while I was reading Pucked.

This is your average run of the mill sports romance novel but with a barrage of crude silliness and dirty banter that can make you laugh your way through to the end. This is the type of listen that will definitely bring a smile to your face, and melt your... ahem... heart. I am looking forward to hearing "Pucked Up" when it's released.
