Hoping for a Sequel
Revisado: 05-16-18
Generation ship and lost knowledge? Sign me up. A little rough in parts, but definitely a great concept and story. I'm really hoping there's a follow-up for this!

Historia
It's been 30 years since the apocalypse and 15 years since the murder of the last human being at the hands of robots. Humankind is extinct. Every man, woman, and child has been liquidated by a global uprising devised by the very machines humans designed and built to serve them. Most of the world is controlled by an OWI - One World Intelligence, the shared consciousness of millions of robots uploaded into one huge mainframe brain.

Give me more Mercer
Revisado: 11-06-17
I was blown away by Sea of Rust and how human Cargill was able to make the characters, despite having different concerns to their fleshy counterparts. I would love to explore this world again, especially if we were able to follow Mercer somehow.

Interesting story but not a great narration
Revisado: 09-29-16
I like AI stories and thought this one was pretty decent, but it felt like the narrator was reading a textbook to a classroom. I'd be very interested in seeing where this series goes, and listening to the rest of the books, as long as the narration improves.

Historia
In a post-apocalyptic America that has shattered into a hundred perpetually warring fiefdoms, anyone with a loud voice and a doomsday weapon can be king (and probably has been). Duncan Archer - con man, carpetbagger, survivor - has found a way to somehow successfully navigate the end of the world, with its giant killer robots, radioactive mutants, mad scientists, rampant nanotechnology, armed gangs, sea monsters, and 101 unpleasant ways to die.

Sucked in from the get go
Revisado: 04-23-15
Where does Tales from the Radiation Age rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Within the first 30 minutes I was telling people Tales from the Radiation Age was going to be in my top 10. After I finished, it's easily in my top 5.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All of them. Duncan certainly has to be at the top of the list, but it would be insulting to exclude any of the others in this story. They're all perfect.
What does Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I've never listened to anything Podehl's done, but I couldn't have chosen a more appropriate narrator for this book. He is spot on with Duncan's and the rest of the cast's voices. I can honestly say, that he IS Duncan to me. I will definitely be finding more narrated by Podehl.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I typically only listen to books while I'm at work, but this one made a habit of following me home at night.
