Ugh ~ so tedious

Why is it that the women in Silva’s novels ~ his wife Ciara in particular ~ are sarcastic smart asses, insincerely accusing him of affairs, flirting with beautiful women, having an insatiable sexual appetite etc They never say anything kind or sincere to one another.
Ugh. I had to stop this one ~ I just couldn’t finish it.

I just can’t recommend this.
It wasn’t true to the words of the original and I didn’t enjoy it.
I kept listening but have to give it a thumbs down.
Perhaps I just don’t like dramatizations.

Read this! So honest and so fair ,,,

I was pleased and stunned that Buhle could and did write such a fair and honest assessment of her 20 plus years with Hunter Biden. She is a very good story teller.
Hunter seems to have been a pretty decent guy until his descent in to alcoholism and drugs. She is measured and does not get in to the gritty parts of his obsession with prostitutes etc. She also shows and admits to her own obsession with trying to fix Hunter and his addictions.
She is completely uncritical of the Biden family.
She reads the book herself in a very compelling way.
I highly recommend it.

Connelly should be embarrassed and I am annoyed that I listened to this stupid book. It was probably a flop when it was written in 2002 and it certainly should have been. Ugh. Don't bother. What a rip off.
