Where does The Night of the Swarm rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

since I've listened to over 1250 audio books and mostly in fantasy, I would rank Redick's Chathrand series as in my top ten percent.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Night of the Swarm?

so many, probably the dialogue, love and committment of the two young lovers

Have you listened to any of Michael Page’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes and as usual, he was superb

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the end, I hated it. I was so disappointed. Made feel meloncholy. But hey, it was only fiction.

I'm a sap, what can I say. I wanted a sappy ending not a tragedy of a kind.

Yes, If they have a few months of time. Once you get started, no way can you stop

Matt, I loved the way the author brought humor to this character.

yes

yes, but hopefully it will have some different twist to the character

What made the experience of listening to Heir of Novron the most enjoyable?

The gambit of emotions touched sadness, humor, and joy with every book in the series. What a wonderful ending for a great series. I didn't want it to end.

What did you like best about this story?

The relationship and hardships endured by both Royce and Adrian.

What does Tim Gerard Reynolds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He captivated my attention with every sentence. Many audio books make you have to go back and recap. Not this one. He did an excellent job.

It was well done and yes, I shed a few tears of sadness and joy

best audio book since the Wheel of Time series.

entertaining listening that breaks down

I really enjoyed the first half of the book. Ms Miller does a great job of setting the story plot regarding two people who have been misunderstood and fighting to overcome odds. The narrator is great. They meet, fall in love, all that. Where the story turns completely is when the man, goes crazy and now we enter the realm of the "Mad Scientist" who chases everyone including his lover to extinction. It becomes more of a B movie horror flick. The man changes people into giant armored plated vicious bugs. Then it abruptly ends. He of course is doomed. It looks like the girl is probably doomed as well as her interesting altruistic brother who gets it at the end. It reminds me of a soap opera where they kill off characters you grew an attachment with and now you are wondering if the author will let them go or bring them back. In the sequel we are waiting on someone new to rescue the world. I'll buy the next and hope it gets better.

not bad, not great

A lot has been said about the narrator and even I thought at first it would be dissapointing. Though after an hour, I felt like Mr. Glover did a good job. The story didn't enthrall me like his last book. Perhaps this feeble mind could not grasp all this ectoplasma and when he could fight and when he was unable in his spirit form. All in all it wasn't a wasted credit. Expecting great things when his winter knight role comes to play.
