So Cliche That I Can’t Help But Adore It!

The book knows its cliche, but it thrives on it, making it such a cheesy romantic comedy of a story! It is refreshing to see something so sweet and telling in a story that plays on the silly tropes that most authors try their best to avoid. I love them. I love the characters and how the author writes them, portraying them with ease! I know there’s three books in the whole series, after finishing the first one I already bought the next two. I am more than excited to continue the story!

I Adore This

This book is more plot heavy, tension build up, and cute moments. I don’t mind it, it itself is a very soft romance novel with hints of spice. It’s comforting.

The voice actor they chose- pretty sure he narrates the whole series, such a deep booming voice fitting for the vibes of the books! I feel spoiled when I try to listen to other series… 💕

Inner Healing

Having the main character actually described as someone like me and has the same passion as myself really helps. The audio book was lovely in all aspects and it made me feel represented as a plus sized ginger myself. It even inspired me to work out a bit while listening. i hope there’s more after the second book. 🥰

It’s ALWAYS the tentacles…

The voice actors were lovely, however the writing of the book made me outwardly cringe at times, making me realize how old I was. However it was still a great listen/read. Perfect human meets artsy little mermaid but gay. ☺️

I Almost Dropped It…

I personally don’t like “friends when they were kids” tropes, but I stayed to see it through. I am itching to listen to the rest of the series. Overall, the writing for the book is so good I wish I could follow along if I had the spare time. I loved the narrator the most, he spoils me when I try to listen to other audiobooks… 🥰

More Than A Pleasant Surprise!

I absolutely loved the voice actors, they were very smooth and fluent with the lines, not stiff or overly exaggerated in their tones! The “writing” of the novel was also really good and I was surprised this would be a stand alone book, but a series dedicated to the monster type if you know what I mean, each monster getting there own novel I think? ☺️
