Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

phenomenal!
Revisado: 08-30-21
I understand why this is so popular. way better than the movie. very good. I've been getting a bit jaded in sci-fi lately with over detailing random pseudo sciencey stuff. but this was just so good. non of the same vibe. awesome.

Historia
Up until one minute ago, Gurlick was merely a specimen of homo sapiens, and a substandard specimen at that. But now, this craven, seething, barely literate drunk has ingested a spore that traveled light years before touching down on our planet...a spore that has, in turn, ingested Gurlick, turning him into a host for the Medusa. The Medusa is a hive mind so vast that it encompasses the life forms of a billion planets - and it is determined to ingest Earth as well.

so good. so weird.

very very good. the different story lines were confusing but came together wonderfully. gerlich (sp?) was just the worst in the best way possible and his story was fantastic and rewarding and funny.

A bit slow at points but incredibly thorough and man do the revelations more than pay off for the periodic slowness. Wow what a good book!

anticlimactic

a bit of an anticlimactic ending for such an epic saga but it did tie all the loose ends up well.

what a great follow up to chapterhouse!
Revisado: 12-07-20
I was hesitant to give this a go since it wasn't the original author, but I needed to know what happened after the events of the original series. it did not disappoint. just as epic and I cannot wait for the final conclusion to the story.

good. not great. a slow build for sure. slow through out and then the climax felt abruptly concluded. the ending after the climax was more interesting to me and was probably enough and left me curious enough to read the next one.

Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!
