I was concerned after the third book, but I'm so excited to see where the author is taking us. This whole series has been a grand adventure and I'm enjoying the ride.

Revisado: 05-24-21
This book is the second in a series from the genius that is Shirtaloon. (Similar to pantaloons, but less coverage. ) The book did not disappoint. As an avid gamer, (WoW, Fall Out, ME, Assassin's creed, Dragonage, DnD) I appreciate the time and knowledge required to create such an endepth story. I would Love to play this story in a game format.

Historia
Gemma Smythe dedicated her life to the glory of battle. With her fellow War Monks, she worshipped the war gods, rained destruction on her enemies, and raised the dead when the fancy struck. Until her sister Keeley became the prophesied Blacksmith Queen, and Gemma broke faith with her order to journey to the Amichai Mountain and fight by Keeley's side. The Amichai warriors are an unruly, never-to-be-tamed lot, especially their leader-in-waiting, Quinn. But when the War Monks declare support for Gemma's ruthless sister Beatrix, the immaturity of her key ally's the least of her problems.

Historia
What happens when an accountant decides to grab life by the horns and try something new? Apparently a pirate named Dave, a lot of pastel fleece, and blackmail - just to start with. Visualize and succeed, Oprah said. I was sure as hell trying, even if my campaign to score a job as the local weather girl had ended in a restraining order. Okay, TV was not my strength. But a lack of talent has never stopped me before. Which is why I've embarked on a writing career. I mean, how hard can it be to come up with a sexy romance?

Terrifying and exhilarating!
Revisado: 07-11-18
I hate zombies. Can't watch any zombie movies because I will have nightmares for weeks afterwards, and even though Kagawa writes with such visual intensity, I loved this book. Well, more of a love-hate feeling when associated with this book.
The narrator was fantastic and had such much in her voice which made the book seem more realistic. The writing was superb and drew the reader or listener in within the first few lines. As I stated before, the love-hate feelings regarding this book, I will explain. Since I hate zombies, this book absolutely terrified me, but now I'm hooked and I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. Who is this mysterious 'K' man, and obviously he's a vampire, but what does he have coming up in the next books? The romance in the book was overshadowed by the action and terror, so if you're looking for hot and steamy, this isn't it, but if you want something that is action packed and terrifying, you've got it all in this one book.

Historia
The happiest day of Payton Lambert's life was the day she graduated high school and watched Bald Knob, Kentucky, get smaller and smaller in her rearview mirror. She wanted more for her life than a tiny town where everyone knows your business and you can't find a decent cup of coffee for at least 40 miles. Twelve years later an unexpected phone call in the middle of the night has her packing up her life in Chicago and racing back home to the one person she ever regretted leaving behind.

OMG! Almost died laughing!
Revisado: 07-11-18
If anyone has read or listened to any of the humorous books by Tara Sivec, then you will be dying from laughter from this book. As anyone knows, a great romance novel needs some mystery, suspense, or action to really tie it together, and this book has it all. The great part is when you find out who did it at the end, because that really throws you for a loop.
The narration was great! Her voices and emotional inflection were perfectly on point with this book.
After you finish this novel, move onto her Shame Me series and the Chocoholics series. Both are winners in my point.

Historia
Summer Butler had no idea that Darling Investigations would be such a smash. But ratings don’t lie—fans love watching the former star solve real-life crimes in her hometown. With the first season wrapped, the reality-show PI is feeling the pressure to make the next one an even bigger success. It seems the town is harboring an arsonist, and all the smoldering signs point to the same culprit: her cousin Dixie.

Totally loving the second book in this new series!
Revisado: 07-11-18
Yet again Megan Tusing did a fantastic job with her narration of this book. I definitely need to listen to more of her stuff!
Summy is at it again, but this time she's helping her cousin. I'm not going to give away any spoilers but I see that Summer is gaining a bit more of a backbone, which I believe she'll need in the third installment of this series. Excellent plot line and I didn't know who was the actual person was who did the foul deeds till the end.
The producer is a character who I'm rooting for to get thrown into a bramble patch. Denise wrote her just right which makes me wonder who she modeled the character after.
Same love interest as before, but I think I see a possible new love interest that was introduced. If anyone has read Denise's other books, we know she likes to switch out the love interests as her characters grow. It works in her books, and makes the heroines seem more human. All in all, I give this book 5 stars and a big thumbs up!

Historia
Ten years ago, Summer Butler was television's most popular teenage sleuth. Since then, she's hit - what gossip sites just love to call - the gutter. Nearly bankrupt, betrayed, estranged from her greedy mother, and just about unemployable, she's coaxed into that desperate haven for has-beens: reality TV.

Denise knocks another one out of the park!
Revisado: 07-11-18
First let me say that the narrator of this book was on point. Kudos to Megan Tusing for her ability to intone the emotions that were playing out in this book.
Second, I am a fan of Denise Grover Swank. There, I said it, and I'm allowing my Swank Flag to fly high and proud. Unlike the Rose Gardner series, this book had a lot more humor involved with the suspense. I still love the Rose Gardner series, but as that series has a bit more melodrama, this series has sass and a kickass heroine. (plus an arch-nemesis who I want to punch in the ovaries),
There is romance, and it's sweet and a little salty due to the fact that the male lead needs to smacked upside the head. I'm not sure if the romance is going to lead anywhere, but it's nice for right now.
