Foremost, this book is excellently narrated in a steady and smooth cadence, with a comforting quality of voice.
As for the text, it is eloquent and easy to understand.
I've listened to this book numerous time and find it more and more enjoyable each time.

Historia
In lyric, accessible prose, Carlo Rovelli invites us to consider questions about the nature of time that continue to puzzle physicists and philosophers alike. For most listeners, this is unfamiliar terrain. We all experience time, but the more scientists learn about it, the more mysterious it appears. We think of it as uniform and universal, moving steadily from past to future, measured by clocks. Rovelli tears down these assumptions one by one, revealing a strange universe where, at the most fundamental level, time disappears.

Beautifully Written and Read

I found this recording delightful. I'm not sure how the author stands in the scientific community, because I am not a scientist. But as a reader, I think he is an expert writer, pouring a lot of emotion and skill into the craftsmanship of this work.
The narrator is expert.

Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

Solid Entertainment with Thoughtful Moments
Revisado: 05-20-19
This is the audiobook version of a Netflix series with self contained episodes. The cast is talented and funny. The material is reasonably thought provoking and entertaining.
Audible is learning this new medium well and producing sounds that are well produced, but a bit loose in just the right ways.

If you enjoyed he first Joe Ledger Novel you will probably enjoy this one. We dive into nazi's and all sorts of evil related to historical and imagined racism manifesting in eugenics.
It's solid. Good story. Would be a great action film. Jonathan Maberry writes clearly and entertainingly with a bit of pop science.
Book was a bit long --- but ultimately you get your credit's worth, I suppose. Enjoy.

When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

I like this book. I've done zombie, military and zombie military fiction. This book sits a little outside the norm, while focusing on trademark aspects of the genre.
Johathan Maberry is a seasoned writer. Ray Porter and unbelievable narrator.

Historia
The year is A.D. 922. A refined Arab courtier, representative of the powerful Caliph of Baghdad, encounters a party of Viking warriors who are journeying to the barbaric North. He is appalled by their Viking customs - the wanton sexuality of their pale, angular women, their disregard for cleanliness...their cold-blooded human sacrifices. But it is not until they reach the depths of the Northland that the courtier learns the horrifying and inescapable truth.

In this best-selling novel, Patrick D. Smith tells the story of three generations of the MacIveys, a Florida family who battle the hardships of the frontier to rise from a dirt-poor Cracker life to the wealth and standing of real estate tycoons. Gritty, Feel-good Misery and Real Life Americana
Revisado: 12-27-18
My folks just retired to Florida. I visited them for the first time. My interest was caught.
This book cured my itch to understand the Florida wilderness and frontier. It also fit well with my playing of Red Dead Redemption lately.
George G is a legendary narrator for good reason. He's so solid, creating memorable characters with his readings.

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Entertaining. Engaging. Playing to all my action film sensibilities.
It also plays like a classic radio theatre piece. I liked it. Great to have on in the background while doing chores.
Just don't expect great science fiction. This is action sitcom.

To understand the roots of personality is to understand motivations and influences that shape behavior, which in turn reflect how you deal with the opportunities and challenges of everyday life. That's the focus of these exciting 24 lectures, in which you examine the differences in people's personalities, where these differences come from, and how they shape our lives. Drawing on information gleaned from psychology, neuroscience, and genetics, Professor Leary opens the door to understanding how personality works and why.

An underwater exploration that overturns myths about fishes and reveals their complex lives, from tool use to social behavior. There are more than 30,000 species of fish - more than all mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians combined. But for all their breathtaking diversity and beauty, we rarely consider how fish think, feel, and behave.

Grew up a fisherman. Like fish in aquariums. Wanted to read about the lives of fish. Didn't feel like it was pushing an agenda on me, even though it has a strong point of view.
I'm still gonna eat fish, fish for fish, and keep a pet fish....but I'm going to do all these things with a whole new awareness brought to me by the author, which I feel is his purpose. He was successful. I enjoyed the book.
