TOO MUCH TALKING...TOO MANY INANE DETAILS...BORING

Not much happened

The story was just your basic battle and logistic type. It contained some interesting perspective on how the advanced weapons were perceived by the enemy but not nearly enough. Josef and the other earthlings hardly had any character progression. Just felt like a really long placeholder. I definitely want more to the story and the last 2 minutes did wet my appetite but another story like this one and I'm probably done with the series. That's unfortunate since this was probably my favorite ongoing series.

A disappointment

I thought the book too the series downhill. The character didn't develop and even seemed to regress. Such as non stop complaining. The story tried to wrap things up but just rushed the elements to the point where they did not seem as though through as the previous books. I struggle with down rating books so I didn't give it 3 stars even though I think that was more how I felt about it.

Lots of bickering

I really liked all of the other books from this series. However this book took the bickering and dysfunctional relationships to a whole new level. The previous books had enough of a balance in the relationships to make it enjoyable. The arc of the story was pretty flat too. I'm pretty certain that nothing was really accomplished by any of the characters. There was an issue which defined the plot and it did get solved. But basically nothing was done and the solution just kinda appeared. It was short so I was able to finish it but I don't think I'm interested in another.
