Interesting enough

One really has nothing to do with the other but I did find both tales interesting. Marconi & his wireless and the scandalous Dr Crippen. I realize too that the Dr Crippen tale is barely enough to fill out an hour long ID episode. I was happy with this selection as it did keep my entertained during a few long sessions of cleaning.

Interesting read/listen

Not long ago I saw a short documentary on Charles Manson & wanted to know more. I knew that he’d also passed not long ago. This book was written roughly 25 years after the original murders took place so most of the information, especially towards the end, is old. But that is ok. It was interesting enough to keep my attention during my long overnight work shifts helping to keep me awake. Which is why I purchased it. It was also long enough that it lasted more than one shift and I was able to finish it up at home while doing laundry. I like Scott Brick as a narrator & his voice helps keep me focused & awake. Yes, I’d recommend it if you are an ID junkie like me but don’t expect it to be the absolute truth when no one really knows what the truth truly is.

Not the movie but didn’t expect that

It’s not the movie with Michael York, but I wasn’t expecting that. Movies and books are two completely different animals even if they do eat the same grass. I still enjoyed this story & look forward to delving further into Logan’s World!

Life is what Happens...

i like libraries, i like midnight... libraries at midnight are cool too. Having been at a midnight place recently myself i think this book is a very good way of explaining to others about your own mental health problems. it's extremely difficult to explain to another how you feel if you can't even explain it to yourself, Nora's journey is an amazing trip of ups & downs and can show us just how strangely life can go sideways. this story is a good version of "life is what happens while you're busy making other plans". i most definitely recommend it to everyone.

Enjoyable Entertainment

For me the storyline, or rather, it’s “hook” was a little weak. I’m not a “Sasquatch” follower. Neither do I like documentary-style books, I prefer a tale that just pulls you in for the ride. But Sasquatch documentaries aside, it was a very good story about survival. You can easily replace “Sasquatch” in your mind with any other type of intelligent enemy. I found myself very interested in Kate’s journey and couldn’t wait till I could put my headset on to hear the next chapter. I’d highly recommend this even if it is outside your normal genre of stories.

The Dragon Lady at her best

This has been one of my favorites since I was a child, so I purchased the audio version when I purchased the Kindle so that I could retire my worn out paperback. The writing & the story are all as I remember them, the only the lacking is the narrator. I simply do not care for him although I will most certainly listen to this again and probably purchase the other books in the series. It sounds as though it took many, many takes for him to even get what we hear. Narration could be better, other than that 👍👍

Rain Drops

There are only 2 things I disliked about this title. One was the weird musical interludes between sections, I could've done without that. Two is that it could've come with a "Kleenex" warning label. I like to listen while doing my chores & this I would not have chosen to start while doing laundry had I known I was going to be crying through most of it. Even though it is very powerful emotionally it is still a very entertaining & engaging story. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Even if you're not an animal lover or into "animal" stories it is most definitely worth your while.

Still a favorite after all these years

This is my favorite book of all time. I was 15 when my grandfather tossed. It on my lap and said "you like to read try this". Mind you the huge hardcover book hurt & got my attention and it was BIG. I used to love sitting and burying myself in a good large book. Plus it has a strong female protagonist something my 15 year old insecure self needed. Ayla, in this novel, is someone a young girl can look up to. She is the right age & goes through similar struggles of being different. Not exactly the same as Ayla lives in such a different world but bullying is the same all over.
