Always happy for my Gus

Loved it. Gus isn’t as grizzled and confident in this one, as it’s still early on. He kills a lot less zombies than usual throughout the book as a result. I hope to see more books in this universe. I’d love perspectives from other people, new people and stuff around the time of the early
Days. I love seeing the collapse of society and learning to live with it more than picking up in the middle of the apocalypse more I think.

Top notch everything!

Front story, to action scenes, to the performance and actors themselves. Everything in this is amped up to the Max! Could not put it down. Going to marathon the entire series now! Earned a spot in my favorites on audible. A VERY short list ( 2 series out of over 300 books. Now 3)

Good, but unfinished.

I liked the first book a lot and got this one. Should have read the most recent reviews. It ends on a cliffhanger, and the third book is no where in sight. The author's twitter shows her in 2019 working on a different, unrelated book, so I am pretty certain this one is gone and done for good. If you hate lack of closure such as I do, look elsewhere.

Gus just keeps on giving.

This is one of the strongest entries yet! Fans of the series know Gus, and while with friends in the beginning, you get some good old one on one time with gus again in the middle of the story or so. Can't wait for book 6! Also, R.C.Bray just gives this series so much personality, keep him on for every title!

This book is revolting.

I have listened to a lot of horror. A lot. This is one of the first few books that made me nearly sick. It’s scary because it’s something that could happen. The monsters in it could exist, and there are people like this who likely do exist. And it all happens to someone who doesn’t really deserve it. I finished it because the story is well done. But man. It’s gut wrenching. If you have a sensitive stomach stay away.

Very fun read, I love cabin in the wood horror stories, and I love zombies, and this combines the two! It's a short B-Movie type horror book. I want more of it, really fun read!

Loved it, albeit some small complaints.

Stellar performences in this story, kept me engrossed the entire time. Would love to read more with this casts. Some small complaints, they kept doing the same argument, the two main characters about whether one can tag along, it began to feel a bit forced. Ending wasn't as strong as I liked, but I will listen again as it was still great in my opinion.

Amazing!

It was something I put off listening to for a while. Absolutely impressed by the quality. The stories were interesting, I’m not usually a fan of dramatizations rather than stories but the performance was top notch in each story. Eagerly awaiting a volume 2!

Stine is nostalgic fun.

The writers and performers do a good job of bring back the classic Stine feel in this book, I could see myself loving this as a kid. It's kid friendly, but one story, the last one specifically does have the phrase "pissing them off" in it, for parents of very young kids who may not like the language. It's 4 different stories, each one with the central theme of a creep camp called camp Red Moon, and that's it. The stories are all different, and unrelated other than that. Had a lot of fun with it.
