Historia
An activist attorney is killed in a cute little L.A. trolley called Angels Flight, far from Harry Bosch's Hollywood turf. But the case is so explosive - and the dead man's enemies inside the L.A.P.D. are so numerous - that it falls to Harry to solve it. Now the streets are superheating. Harry's year-old Vegas marriage is unraveling. And the hunt for a killer is leading Harry to another high-profile L.A. murder case, one where every cop had a motive. The question is, did any have the guts?

first audiobook to the series I wasn't happy with
Revisado: 03-22-21
they changed the narrator and he's too dramatic and does not portray the different characters well. seems like they just picked a voice actor back to a salty old veteran cop, and nothing else. the story was good the last few moments wrapped up too quickly in a summary instead of playing out.

Historia
The CIA's deepest secrets are being given away for a larger agenda that will undermine the entire Western intelligence community. Director of National Intelligence Mary Pat Foley wants it stopped but doesn't know who, how, or why. Jack Ryan, Jr., is dispatched to Poland on a different mission. The clues are thin, and the sketchy trail dead ends in a harrowing fight from which he barely escapes with his life. If that's not bad enough, Jack gets more tragic news. An old friend, who's dying from cancer, has one final request for Jack.

Jack Jr books just don't live up to the franchise.
Revisado: 08-02-20
First 2/3 were enjoyable. Standard Clancy style espionage. Like much of the Jack Jr books it is difficult to accept he would be off doing all this by himself. In the 3rd act he goes to Peru and it seems like these chapters were taken from a completely diffrent book. To only be finished by a completely unrealistic relation between the Peru protagonist to one he's been chasing the entire book. Then the last few chapters are a culmination of the campus globe trotting and killing of every problem in the book. Highly unbelievable story mixed with some decent espionage and character relationship.

good but lacking Clancy depth

the third act felt a bit rushed but a quality addition to the series. I guess biting a computer virus instead of terrorist cells all around America makes for a Less climactic ending.
