Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Historia
In 2013 Assata Shakur, founding member of the Black Liberation Army, former Black Panther and godmother of Tupac Shakur, became the first ever woman to make the FBI's most wanted list. Assata Shakur's trial and conviction for the murder of a white State Trooper in the spring of 1973 divided America. Her case quickly became emblematic of race relations and police brutality in the USA. While Assata's detractors continue to label her a ruthless killer, her defenders cite her as the victim of a systematic, racist campaign.

this autobiography is great, tragic, and fills me with anger. the treatment of Miss Shakur is disgusting. an eye-opening book filled with unbridled honesty and vulnerability.

I loved it. Ryan's accent could be a bit... loose but I enjoyed both characters.

Cute Ending
Revisado: 06-26-21
this last book was less gritty and more cutesy, thanks to the lovestory sub-plot. but it was cute and the stories were still pretty good. the ending was also kind of unexpected but showed that the good doctor had grown a lot.

I really enjoyed this book from beginningto end! I didn't find it to be corny, and the performance was great. The story never veered too far into the realm of unbelievability, and the characters felt real and relatable.

Revisado: 11-05-19
Like a lot of people who have already reviewed, I read the first book and was eager to find out what would happen in this book. Though there were some great moments, it didn't hold up to the first. This is a work of fiction based in realism, yet some parts are unbelievable for the real world, especially Killian's master plan. Also, Chloe got on my nerves a bit in this one. Actually, their relationship got on my nerves. The narrator was great though, and did the male voices very well. This story tried to follow with the mystery and intrigue, but ended feeling repetitive and boring

Historia
Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old. It doesn't help that she has Asperger's and that French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. She decides that she needs lots of practice - with a professional - which is why she hires escort Michael Phan.

I liked this story. I liked the main character a lot because she was different, and brought to light that people living with a perceived mental illness can and often do lead healthy, fulfilling lives. However, the narrator's male voices, were grating. she sounded like Ash Ketchum
