love it
Revisado: 12-27-24
I loved the narrator. I know others didn't but I felt he did a really good job and kept me interested and immersed in the story start to finish. Harlen Coben is my favorite for limited series on Netflix so when I saw a book by him on audible I had to listen. I love it and like all cobens work it has humor, relatable dialogue and ends with a twist.

narration sucks
Revisado: 12-16-24
I'm sorry but it's like the narrator is trying too hard to be dramatic and it it's unbearable at times. I understand that the story revolves around the FBI agents rather than the butterfly garden however, I'm a little disappointed because I'm not a huge fan of Edison and would have liked to hear more about Ramirez. for anyone reading the series just know that the narration is horrible for all except for the first and the third is acceptable. The second and fourth have the same narrator and she's horrible. it's like she's trying to be in a soap opera and doesn't know how to narrate normal emotions instead she just goes for the most dramatic way of saying things at all times and it's just not believable that she's a teenager. I don't know but honestly if I wasn't stuck at work unable to even stop long enough to switch the book I probably would never have finished it.

Historia
When Agent Mercedes Ramirez finds an abused young boy on her porch, covered in blood and clutching a teddy bear, she has no idea that this is just the beginning. He tells her a chilling tale: an angel killed his parents and then brought him here so Mercedes could keep him safe. His parents weren’t just murdered. It was a slaughter - a rage kill like no one on the Crimes Against Children team had seen before. But they’re going to see it again. An avenging angel is meting out savage justice, and she’s far from through.

I love the book but I can't stand the narrator
Revisado: 12-16-24
again, a wonderful book but the narrator sounds like she should be on a soap opera. I just can't deal with it but I did get to the end because I was so invested in the story and series and it's a wonderful series. also, if you're listening to the series just know that basically the first book is the only one that has a good narrator.

Erika: His name is Michael Crist. My boyfriend's older brother is like that scary movie that you peek through your hand to watch. He's handsome, strong, and completely terrifying. The star of his college's basketball team and now gone pro, he's more concerned with the dirt on his shoe than me.

I just can't
Revisado: 12-16-24
I'm sorry but it's really hard to listen to a book that's supposed to be narrated by a teenager and hear a middle-aged woman's voice. You just cant ever get drawn in.

great build up but fails in the end
Revisado: 11-01-24
I don't know what I think would have been a better ending but the way it ended was disappointing. It all built up slowly then at hyper speed it ends.
