A True Story of Grief, Healing, and Finding the Strength to Move Forward
Revisado: 02-12-25
I have immense respect for Allison’s honesty in addressing a topic I’ve rarely seen discussed so candidly—the deep trauma experienced by those left behind after a death by suicide. I was moved to tears countless times as she navigated heartbreaking conversations with her children—conversations she never imagined having or being forced into under such painful circumstances.
This book sheds light on how often society romanticizes those who die by suicide, while overlooking the profound impact on the loved ones left to pick up the pieces. Thank you for speaking with such raw vulnerability. Your life, and your children’s lives, were completely turned upside down, yet you found the strength to confront unimaginable questions while managing your own grief and carrying the weight of everyone else’s.
I truly believe that in writing this book, you gave voice to what Stephen could not. Through divine intervention, he must have known you were the one strong enough to share this story. You are doing an incredible job moving forward with your family, and your strength is deeply inspiring.

Important story
Revisado: 01-26-24
This is a story that needed to be told. For all the young girls, who aspire to attain an unhealthy, unrealistic body image, aspiring to be an object of male attention. For all the boys who aspire to attain this level of Playboy. It’s speaks to all the emptiness, loneliness and sadness underneath superficial levels of happiness. Keep healing Crystal and keep telling your story!
