There are no techniques nor strategies in this book for effectively improving your financial situation. Just stories about famous people and how not to repeat their mistakes....

The only way to really get a shift in your life for this topic is to join a mastermind group where you're held accountable for your goals. Or to do the exercises in this book religiously for a long time. As it is, it's just too much information to keep up with for the average person......

he's not sugar coating your life nor telling you positive thinking b.s. that has infiltrated modern society. he tells you to take action and not trust your thoughts. the only thing I wish the author did in this book is to provide concrete guidance and techniques to take charge of ones consciousness. as it is, this book is mostly a collection of ideas and advice rather than techniques.

lastly, the narrator is excellent. he has passion and intonation in his voice, which makes the material palpable.

it started out great, full of exciting promise. I kept doing his exercises. felt better about my life. but towards the middle, he started talking about topics I couldn't relate to, and I completely lost interest and motivation to finish this book.

This is an important topic for me. I've been looking for a thorough exploration of the Jesus prayer and Hesychasm, because I practiced Systema (Russian martial art). There are many beautiful stories of forgiveness in this book. however, the narrator sounds like a soothing mother talking to a little boy. As a man, I wish this book sounded more like a strong leader talking to his army.

there's no question that Michael is one of the best MMA fighters of our generation. however, this book provides little in the way of guidance and motivation for up-and-coming martial arts and MMA fighters who want to improve their own skills. this book is just Michael's story about his wins and losses. nothing else, no helpful philosophies or lessons about life and fighting and facing obstacles

Those were the last words spoken by George in his book. I learned so much from him. how to be a balanced martial artist, how to stay focused on a big goal, how to approach fear, and to never stop learning.

GSP is the real deal, and this book is a terrific personal development guide. it distinguishes itself from other generic personal development books because it was written by a real world champion who knows struggle and winning, not just some theoretical philosopher...

I am obsessed with productivity and attention management. However, listening for 10 hours to this audiobook would be impossible for me. It is delivered in an extremely dry and emotionless manner. As if it is a textbook, rather than material that can touch someone's life.

there's lots of concepts in this book that I had not come across in my 20 years of personal development. for instance, Dr DeMartini suggests that true gratitude comes from a balance of negative and positive emotions. this is very liberating, not to chase after just one type of consciousness, and to welcome it all.

However, it gives very little specific advice on how to train to become a better fighter. I would have loved to hear more real world examples of real fights, and an analysis of how to train for them.
