I enjoy the narrator immensely. His performance is beyond noteworthy and the added audio effects are well subtle and well-timed as to not override the performance.

For a first time reader/listener, I think there’s almost too many characters. Reminds me of old D&D sessions (as it should). As you continue though, you develop attachments to characters and relate with some as well. You see they all have their place and are all their own person. I feel the story is fairly simple but there’s more than enough secondary and tertiary stories developing that it’s nearly impossible to not want to go to the next book.

After returning my last three audiobooks before completing them because the story lacked or the narration or performance were lacking. Even a Tolkien book narrated by Sir Christopher Lee. It’s more narration than performance but it’s great quality narration. This book feels highly foundational to what I hope is a great series.
I’ll be gifting a copy to my brother for Christmas as well.

It's difficult to review these stories without giving spoilers. Suffice it to say that it was a great coming together of characters with a rather predictable outcome. Saying that the writing was done well and the narrator is easily my favorite and should always narrate Salvatore's books

No better author and no better narrator.

This series is great. Unfortunately the narrator is so good that any author narrator for RA Salvatore's stories sounds terrible by comparison

Where does Wickless in the Nether rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This ranks well with most books I have listened to. Sean Astin is remarkable and I truly hope he has found a new career opportunity here. The character he lends in voice to animate the characters involved is most impressive. I truly hope he narrates more audiobooks in the future.

What did you like best about this story?

The twists and turns of the story are great and the characters, having been developed in previous books, have been brought to life in a delightful manner.

Have you listened to any of Sean Astin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to other performances of his, if he has them, but I will b elooking for them for certain.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

About damn time!

If you could sum up Bones and Stones in three words, what would they be?

This is a story about Thibbledorf Pwent - A Battle-Rager Dwarf and the aftermath of a very large battle around the time of The Orc King series.

What does Al Yankovic bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's not difficult to enjoy the sound of Al Yankovic reading the works of one of my favorite authors. It's nice to have a familiar voice and a touch of celebrity added to this story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was only 34 minutes and made my commute to work enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

So far, I would recommend every R. A. Salvatore Book/Audiobook ever "written".
