Reasonably entertaining, but not particularly well written. Several scenes still had me laughing and grinning, but just as many had me rolling my eyes at the clumsy prose

Really want more books set in this universe!

Love the universe the author has created- and the third book opens so much potential for more stories.

My only cons- REALLY hard to keep track of which male character is speaking, and some of the attempted 'voices' are hilarious

also- while the sex scenes in the first two books felt fairly natural, I ended up fast forwarding through some of these- they did nothing to further the plot.

Elena is frustrating, but shes totally relatable, which I think is most important. There's decent plot within the smut, though Id like to have a word with the editor- could have been more polished. The male voices do get confusing so be warned!

Darkly gothic horror

A little frustrated with our heroine charging into dangerous places, and the hero doing little more than scolding her, But the end DID twist, and though its not the kind of ending that toes everything up with a neat bow, I left satisfied.

Decent story, poorly chosen narrator

Story was good, though the reveal seemed rushed and not a reveal at all. No twist, just pretty much what you expected. And honestly, this could have done GREAT things- I had even hoped at the beginning there would be a Yellow Wallpaper feel to it, but that never really panned out.

Narrator: Poorly chosen for the media- Ms. Hammond has a really breathy voice better suited to children's' books, romance, etc. Not so much horror/suspense. And especially for a book with so many male voices- they all come out sounding much like the same kid with various upper respiratory issues.

Tawdry, little plot, better erotica online!

Performance: do these people know what they're reading? the sex scenes are stilted and weird sounding

Story: what story? there's a loose framework, but half of that is restating what has just been said in an effort to pad the text between sex scenes.

Characters are cardboard and ridiculous. Sex scenes are probably the least sexy and almost comically explicit.

dont waste your time or money.

If people are getting paid for THIS kind of drivel, I'm in the wrong business.

I always loved the movie, but I think i love the book better. I felt such companionship with Lucy Muir, and who's NOT in love with Captain Gregg!

Meh all around

This story has the bones of a great gothic novel, but the author instead focuses on the teenagers who are trying to discover the truth, and much too little fleshing out what that truth actually IS. Whats the point of hinting at century old drama if you dont elaborate?

Engrossing, but could have answered so much more.
