Historia
In today's fast-paced world of competitive workplaces and turbulent economic conditions, each of us is searching for effective tools that can help us to manage, adapt, and strike out ahead of the pack. By now, emotional intelligence (EQ) needs little introduction - it’s no secret that EQ is critical to your success. But knowing what EQ is and knowing how to use it to improve your life are two very different things.

Take Notes
Revisado: 04-09-22
Very informative book. You’ll want to take a lot of notes and listen because he provides 4 different skill sets and 17 steps to achieve those skills. Not one you can listen and not pay attention you’ll miss a lot of info.
The readers voice was a little stale and didn’t give the best performance but not the worst I’ve heard

Historia
Much more than a knack for snappy comebacks, wit is the quick, instinctive intelligence that allows us to think, say, or do the right thing at the right time in the right place. In this whimsical book, James Geary explores every facet of wittiness, from its role in innovation to why puns are the highest form of wit. Geary reasons that wit is both visual and verbal, physical and intellectual: there’s the serendipitous wit of scientists, the crafty wit of inventors, the optical wit of artists, and the metaphysical wit of philosophers.

I love the book
Revisado: 04-11-20
I would recommend this book to anyone looking to increase their wit by means of analysis of wit itself.
What i would like from this book is more actionable steps towards becoming wittier. However with the information provided, an individual can develop strategies for themselves.

Historia
Whether you're a CEO, a parent, or merely a person who wants to make a difference, you probably wish you had more influence with the people in your life. But most of us stop trying to make change happen because we believe it is too difficult, if not impossible. We learn to cope rather than learning to influence. Influencer is a thought-provoking audiobook that combines the remarkable insights of behavioral scientists and business leaders with the astonishing stories of high-powered influencers from all walks of life.

Historia
Communication is a fact of life. You are forced to communicate with other people every day whether you want to or not. You communicate with your words. You communicate with your voice. You communicate with your posture. You communicate with your attitude. Being able to effectively express your thoughts and feelings is essential to successful business and personal relationships. Not being able to communicate effectively in any situation can cause miscommunications between you and another person which can give way to arguments.

Good! I gleaned a lot from this
Revisado: 12-29-19
Largely i think being entertaining is the difficultly. He gave some examples of entertaining responses and i came up with a logical way to think about it.
When trying to be entertaining our responses should be about (YOU - THEM - US - IT (subject)
How to be entertaining with those topics:
1. Make assumptions 2. Attribute Known facts about the person into response 3. Reverse negative/positive thoughts on what was said (this can come off as witty or occasionally sarcastic) 4. Over/under exaggerate 5. Be literal/figurative when the comment or question raised was the former of the two.
Hope this helps. Def worth reading and seeing what you can apply to yourself. There’s things he says that need to be thought out for yourself. This takes away from the effectiveness of the book. But if thought out and applied to missing areas in ones self than this info is priceless.
