Historia
"Call of the Wild" is the story of Buck, a magnificent dog who is stolen from his idyllic life and sold for use on a Yukon dogsled team. His travels are not only of a physical nature, as he learns hard discipline from men who must discipline their dog teams, but his own journey back to his primordial roots in the frozen tundra - the roots of wolf. This amazing story of transformation is beautifully written and provides a glimpse of the hard life in the Yukon Territory during the 1900s.

Narrators voice is very monotone
Revisado: 04-04-20
The beginning of the book is so so.....1/3 into the book it's getting more interesting but the narrators voice is very monotone throughout the whole book which lessens my interest - very sad, because I think the story itself is very good.

Emotional, historical....and just lovely!
Revisado: 01-28-20
I really loved the story. A story about an innocent child, love, war, secrets, trust, emotions and protection. An easy flow to the story and a great performance by Anna Cordell. You will not be disappointed!

Historia
At 01:23:40 on April 26th 1986, Alexander Akimov pressed the emergency shutdown button at Chernobyl's fourth nuclear reactor. It was an act that forced the permanent evacuation of a city, killed thousands, and crippled the Soviet Union. The event spawned decades of conflicting, exaggerated, and inaccurate stories.

Very interesting
Revisado: 01-14-20
Very interesting and informative. I really liked the addition of the of author's travels to Chernobyl, it gave the listener an outside view of the place, it's surroundings, and a glimpse into the reality of today. The performance of Michael Page was not the best. The narration was very flat and somewhat boring to listen to, which was a shame since the story itself was superb.

Forced myself to listen to the whole book
Revisado: 12-10-19
I love Stieg Larsson millennium series, but David Lagercrantz doesn't give me the same feeling as Stieg Larsson did. The story is not very catching and the performance by Simon Vance didn't make it easier getting into the story. I really forced myself to listen to the whole book and was so very happy once it was finished.

Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 12-10-19
The story didn't catch me. I usually don't mind twist and turns but there were too many in this book making it a bit difficult to concentrate on the story while doing other things. The performance of Emily Gunnis wasn't the best, a smacking sound making me believe she was chewing a pastille or something throughout the book, it was a bit irritating and somewhat lack of respect towards the listener.
