Historia
Ten years ago, Izzy Stone's mother fatally shot her father while he slept. Devastated by her mother's apparent insanity, Izzy, now 17, refuses to visit her in prison. But her new foster parents, employees at the local museum, have enlisted Izzy's help in cataloguing items at a long-shuttered state asylum. There, amid piles of abandoned belongings, Izzy discovers a stack of unopened letters, a decades-old journal, and a window into her own past.

Great story, with great characters!
Revisado: 08-15-24
The story is wonderfully written to give the reader insight into forced institutionalization. Also, how some in the medical profession took advantage of, and simply took an easy road to patient care.

I Regret wasting my time on this novel.
Revisado: 07-27-24
There is nothing redeeming about this novel. I recommend finding something else. The storyline is weak, the characters are lackluster, and the plot is childish. The ending seemed as though th writer reached a word count and it was over.
