Of course I’m a Democrat. But in all honesty this is a well written book and the narration is spot on. It truly gave me some new insight into this nightmare excuse of a president we have.

A good book.

This was a well written book and the narration is fantastic. It can be a bit difficult in a few spots to keep the characters straight but I enjoyed it.
I listen to around 3 books a week if not more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Girl in the Red Coat?
Being from the south I really enjoyed the backwoods healers. Hamer painted a great picture of how hypocritical and insane the religious fanatics can be and at the same time made it into an entertaining and at times comical portrayal.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Hamer and Beamish did a wonderful job conveying the desperation of the mother when her daughter went, and then stayed, missing.
Any additional comments?
I read some critical comments about the ending and I will have to say I thought it was a great ending. I truly enjoyed this book.

What made the experience of listening to Pretty Girls the most enjoyable?
It is rare to get a book, audible or paper, that you can't put down and on top of that Slaughter did an epic job with the story.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the rhythm of this book. The story the plot...it was well thought out and well executed.
Have you listened to any of Kathleen Early’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No this is the first time I have listened to Kathleen Early. I am a fan.
Any additional comments?
I put off listening, purchasing, this book due to a few bad reviews and finally, as it kept showing up, I just said what the hell. It is a graphically violent book. However, having said that, it is done so well that, while somewhat disturbing, it serves a purpose and should not be cast as a shortfall.

Not exactly as suspenseful as I had expected.

I found the story hard to follow for the first half of the book and the second half didn't make up for it. I dislike it when an author pulls a villian out of a hat with no foreshadowing or without a dribble of story until bam! the person is guilty. it felt like it began and ended on a pretty blah note. The narrator did a good job. it wasn't a bad book and it wasn't a good book.
